Hello,
I would like to know why eBay is charging me an Ad (promo) fee on an item that was sold when the item sold was because of an offer made to the buyer. aka using that option to send offers to eligible listings.
It's not consistent, sometimes I get that extra charge and sometimes I don't even though the item is being promoted.
But secondly and more disconcerting is why in the heck does eBay thinks they are entitled to charge me the Ad fee for the item that was NOT sold because of the promo but was sold because of the additional offer(s) I made to the buyer..
eBay should inform the sellers which items are going to be charged the promo/ ad fee and which will not. Well.. I know why they don't because I'd wouldn't make the same kind of offers knowing that eBay is taking x amount off the top.
Nevertheless, that is vital information to know in order to determine proper offerings and still have a positive margin.

Because those are the terms of a promoted listings.
The ad fee is charged if the buyer purchases within 30 days of clicking a promoted listing, regardless of how the item is eventually purchased.
"You will only be charged when a buyer clicks on one of your ads and then buys that item within 30 days"

I have an item on sale that was promoted, but I stop promoting it and then, I sent an offer which was accepted, then eBay charged me an add fee; how can that be?

Before this thread is closed, I'll answer: because they clicked on it while it was promoted, and that was within the last 30 days.
