It really depends on what you are selling.  I prefer buy it now/fixed price/immediate payment required.

How are things in Sri Lanka?

Where did you find stars to sell?  How did you catch them?  How do you ship them?  How much do they cost?  Have they been wished upon or are they 'virgin' stars?  You'll be a gazillionaire...

If you are selling commodity items that are readily available, use fixed price format.

If you are selling rare or hard to find items, then auction is the best format.

Why don't you post on the Sri Lankan boards?  I heard they give away door prizes for the Most Asked Questions in one day.  Like @inhawaii  has posted.

I sell mostly coins and i use the auction style sale.  For the items that i know how much i want for an item I will use Buy It Now (BIN) style sale. You will have to try both for yourself and decide.

If you sell cooking spices or ingredients don't bother. That wont fly. You wanna sell I phones, Computers, Gold, Graphics Cards, or Rolex Watches. You will have lots of sales.  Good Luck
