Please help me because I am a new seller. eBay has pulled some of my items (LPs, CDs, and other music) stating "We had to remove your listing because it didn’t follow our Counterfeit item policy. We don’t allow counterfeit items, replicas, or unauthorized copies." This is interesting because I bought these items on eBay and still see copies of them being sold on eBay. How are these sellers doing what I cannot do? Is it because they are they are selling on eBay internationally? I do not sell internationally now, but I will do so if they allow me to sell my "counterfeit" items. Please advise.

How are these sellers doing what I cannot do?
Because there are 1.5 billion listings on eBay, and policy enforcement is not perfect - it is not always comprehensive, not always accurate, and not always timely.
Because remember, your listings were on eBay for a period of time before they were taken down. That may also be true of the other sellers you see.
Were your albums bootlegs or counterfeits?

They were counterfeit because they had UPCs and are being sold in other countries.

Yeah, counterfeit stuff isn't allowed... not sure why. I have had listings pulled for no apparent reason. Like a Korean press Smokey Robinson LP
BUT I will say stop doing auctions. You have some great stuff that sold for less than what it should have gone for. I advise Buy It Now listings for the price you want to get for them. It may take a while to sell, but what looks like a SEALED Some Girls album from 1978? With what looks like the original cover? For $29? I should have jumped on that! That's like a $300 album

Thanks. I won't run auctions for some of my stuff that is more valuable. Anyway, in regard to counterfeit items, are they allowed if I sell on ebay international? I ask because I know they can be sold in some countries...just not in the United States.

No, counterfeits are not allowed, no matter where you sell them.

I should clarify what I said... yes, COUNTERFEIT items are illegal, but I had BOOTLEGS in my brain.
A good example is "Introducing The Beatles". The most counterfeited album ever. ALL the counterfeits should be removed from Ebay, but they are up there AND many are being listed as the real deal.
