I am beyond frustrated! My husband recently sold something on eBay and we cannot get the payout from eBay. With multiple calls from customer service, and HOURS of time wasted, we were told that eBay doesn’t accept our routing number for payouts and we have to open another checking account somewhere else to get the proceeds from our sale!!!???!!? They also advised that the funds will be turned over shortly to the state as unclaimed funds!
I cannot understand a scenario where they encourage people to list items, sell items, eBay collects their fees (because God knows, they are the only one who is entitled to get paid!!!), but there is a routing number that they have on a list on routing numbers that are marked “will not accept”???? Seriously??? Is that legal??? I went through hours of scenarios for options, and all of them, SURPRISE SURPRISE, only work for eBay to get their money!!!! But not one of those options is viable for for us to get our proceeds! They can accept my debit card, paypal account, and even bank draft for their fees…but they cannot use any of them to pay me for the proceeds of my property that was sold?????
We have had the same checking account for 50+ years, never had a single problem, and have even used the same account in the past for eBay sales proceeds. It is a real brick and mortar bank, where I have an actual checkbook, safe deposit box, and can go to a teller window.
I spoke with four representatives and all said, “yeah, that routing number is one that cannot be accepted by our system. You need to open another checking account.”

I use a Walmart Green Dot Card for my payments. It's a separate account used only for my ebay transactions. You can order a card on line. They provide a routing number and a checking number and it is a payment method that Ebay accepts with no problem.
I have had my account for almost 7 years. There is a monthly fee, but if you deposit more than $500 a month in to the account, it's free. Here's a link to help should you choose to take my advice:

Not seeing any listings, probably not. I just gave some advice to another poster. Check it out. I have had several people follow my suggestion and it worked out for them.
Have a great weekend and stay warm, I read the east cost is going to get clobbered in snow & ice. Be safe.
