How can buyers just return something if they found it cheaper 20 days after ? I offer free ship, and I loose the free shipping no questions asked. This is not a correct way to run a business. Especially with second hand products. Ebay should pay for the loss if they want to enforce this rule, not us sellers! Yes we can just offer no returns, but what if there is a legit reason for the return? Like it got damaged in shipping. EBAY YOU ARE RUINING IT FOR ALL. I am forced now to have a no return policy due to your new rules. Horrible business practice.

If it is damaged in shipping you will still have to refund.
If they open an claim you will still have to refund.
eBay does not back the sellers no matter what your policy is, they will back the buyer 100%.

Guess it's just a numbers game then. Real shame Ebay would do something like this. Its us sellers that make this site possible. So much abuse. I am a big fan of ebay, but don't know why they are giving so much power to the buyers. Supposed to be a 2 way street.

This is allowing buyers to get a "free rental" of products from sellers. What if I bought a Rolex for a important event, bought it, used it for event, and 20 days later I returned it because I found it cheaper ??!! . That correct business practice ? Cmon Ebay, wake up. Ive supported you, and Ebay business for years, this is riduculess already.

If a seller takes returns, buyer can return the item for any reason.
Having a no return policy doesn't mean you won't be refunding.
All buyer has to do is file an INAD and you'll be paying for return shipping and giving a full refund.
If the item is damaged during shipping, it's still your responsibility to pay return shipping and giving a refund or just refund buyer and let them keep the item.

I called and ebay told me I have to offer no return policy to avoid this. I looked at purchase history of items I purchased, and items I purchased says no return, but I can still click return this item ???!!! What is this, the rigged casino ? Whats fair is fair, and rules are rules. Don't say something, and it means absoultely nothing.
If seller has a no return policy, buyer can still request a return and you can decide to accept it or not, if it's a remorse return.

You can't decide or not to return. It is automatically started and finished all in favour of the buyer. Must be nice to be a buyer.

No such thing as "a no return policy". By having that policy ur setting ur self up to return shipped scam.

It is YOUR way you've chosen to run YOUR business. If you have a 30 Day Return policy, that means you are offering to accept ANY return for ANY reason if initiated within that 30 days. This is not an eBay thing; it's a business thing.
If you choose to change to a No Returns policy, you can, should and will still accept returns for things like goods damaged in shipping.

If it's a remorse (changed mind, didn't like it) return and you have a no return policy, you can deny the return.

A no returns policy is not going to protect you if an item is damaged in shipping because that means it is not as described, and falls under the MBG, which overrides your no returns policy.

Adding a restocking fee may help to cut down on some returns . However I haven't checked what e bays policy is for that today . Tulips

The return policies options are as follows.
With option number 1, No Returns the seller can completely deny taking a return for a Buyer's Remorse Return Request. Or if they want to they can accept the return and have the buyer pay the return shipping. If the seller so chooses they can withhold the original shipping if it was separately stated on the listing [not free shipping] when it is time to refund the buyer.
On options 2 & 3 the buyer is responsible for the return shipping on a Buyer's Remorse Return. Plus if the seller so chooses they can withhold the original shipping if it was separately stated on the listing [not free shipping] when it is time to refund the buyer.
On options 4 & 5 above, they are also known as Free Returns. If a seller that has either of those policies they will pay the return shipping even on a buyer's remorse return. A seller can withhold the original shipping value from the refund if the shipping was separately stated in the listing [not free shipping]. Also Seller’s offering options 4 or 5 have the ability to do partial refunds in certain cases if the item arrives back damaged, missing something or in a condition less than what it was sent to the buyer in, see the policy for more details, the link is below. In the cases where a deduction in the refund is taken due to damage or other authorized reasons for a partial refund, Ebay will protect the seller from negative or neutral feedback.
ALL OPTIONS [1, 2, 3, 4 and 5] are required to process SNAD claims without exception. Even if they are improperly filed and should have been a Buyer’s Remorse claim.
All return policies by sellers must meet or exceed what is stated in the Money Back Guarantee Policy!
