What happened to this option in listings?

It use to be turned on and off at the whim of eBay.

But now they say your Auctions will automatically Relist Up to 8 Times and no listing charge for each relist for non-business.

This is the option I can't find anymore in my listings. I was wondering if others noticed the same? I use the advanced listing tool normally.

I had 30 listings today end and not auto relist. Now it wants me to pay a .35 cent fee per listing as I'm over the 200 free ones a month. With auto relist I was able to bypass that .35 fee, and I definitely have not exceeded 8 relists on the listings yet. There was definetely some change to it recently.

I quit using the 8 relist function because it is unpredictable and does not follow the procedures as written by eBay.  It still seems to be turned on and off at the whim of eBay.  Last time I used it a few months ago it only relisted twice and then ended.  It was working well last year and then twice I had 500 auctions to end on 3rd and 4th relist.  Then I started getting charged for the free relist.  It would be nice if they will bring it back like it use to be.

This problem has already been discussed on several threads to no definite conclusion. eBay seems to be making the 8 relists for auctions available to select sellers in a random manner. An eBay CS has told several users that this perk is available only to new sellers to help them get going, but we have seen long-standing sellers get it too. My guess is it's controlled by an eBay bot that looks at your current and past sales history and decides if you get it or keep it. Your recent sales have been good so perhaps the bot has decided you no longer need help. It really seems to be a hit-and-miss thing.

That is a excellent observation.  I was also told by eBay last year the perk is available only to new sellers to help them get going.  I have also been told they come up with the 8 relist because the Fixed Price Listings were good for 30 days.

Only problem I had with using the function is you have to individually open each item and check the box.  You can not check the box as a Bulk Listing function.  This is very time consuming and hard to track when you have 500 Auctions.

According to their Policy on the 8 relist, there are no stated requirements to be able to use it and apparently it is automatic now so you do not have to check the box.  I have not tried it for a few months so I do not know if it is working that way or not.

The only issue I have with the 8 relist is, if it is offered to you and you accept the offer then eBay needs to honor the agreement and not cut of the Auctions or charge you a listing Fee before you have used the 8 relists.  That is so wrong.

I message Ebay support they they confirmed the auto relisting has been removed.  If your item doesn't sell you will have to manually relist and it will eat away at your free insert total.  They are basically trying to force sellers to either buyer a higher priced store package or just pay the insertion fee to put up more items.  I don't plan on doing either.  I plan on shifting my sales to another platform that doesn't constantly shift the product for users WITHOUT TELLING THEM to make a few extra dollars.  I guess they figure its 0.25 cents and sellers will just eat the cost.

I can't either!! It only list for 1 week and it doesn't relist up to 8x anymore. Have you figured out how to get it fixed yet?

eBay just switched to a new selling template for me and the 8x free relisting function is now gone.

You have to find the setting and enable it @jaded_edge. Follow the green boxes in these screenshots:
