Automatic returns for Auto Parts bad, sooo bad mrrga

I sold a brand new Auto Part and got a return request just didn't like it. I got it back today and Black Fingerprints all over the part. Black Grease on white electrical connectors. The most Uncouth Shady Mechanic 😖 Fingerprints .

I caved and refunded the 99.00. The part I've already dismantled and thrown the bits and pieces in my scrap aluminum bins.

The buyer blocked forever from my store.

Ebay, this isn't working out.

I have an identical part in my reserve stock. What if i relist it and another handboogler does the same thing ?

I had a buyer basically admit they weren't sure the part would fit before buying it, but bought it anyway because of the free returns. They could have simply asked me, but I guess that was too much work.

NONE of the 6-8 returns of my auto part sales have been due to the part not working, but due to moronic buyers not checking before buying, or buying 2-3 of the same part and returning the 1-2 that arrive after the first.

This is a little different. It feels as if i sold a new baking pan. Someone baked a cake in the pan and returned it

This is eBay's dumbest policy so far....right behind hiding most of the description unless the buyer clicks to expand it.    Buyers don't read anything.   If they did (would be easier if it was there to read) they would not order wrong by mistake most of the time.    

Since this policy has been put in place, I've had 2 returns that eBay has accepted for me against my will.   Have not received them back yet, but buyer ignorance shouldn't cost me money.

There's nobody working at Ebay that's fixed anything in their entire lives except some tinkering on apps in a play store. We're dealing with weak waifers  😝 Waif: a homeless,, neglected , or abandoned person, especially a child.

So, as I expected....returns are up to about 3-4 per week with this new policy.   Before that they were one a month or so.
