Automatic feedback

In the big scheme of things, this isn't a huge deal but I've been wondering......

 

Because so few buyers leave feedback, I've liked the implementation of automatic feedback but for about the past week (?), I haven't received any automatic feedbacks. 

 

Would it be possible that it has anything to do with the Amazon outage? Has anyone received auto-feedbacks in the last few days?

Yes, I've received auto feedback everyday for the last week, including today.

I have been receiving it, too. eBay uses its own servers, but it does also use cloud services including AWS, so could be.

I don't mind the automatic feedback, But it also sort of just looks generic, But I have been receiving it.

Auto feedback is working fine on my end.

The automated feedback comments you receive will correlate 1-to-1 with the dates your orders are delivered, so perhaps it is possible there was a span of a few days without any item deliveries from orders you shipped.

Have you gone back and looked if there were any specific transactions that were supposed to receive automated feedback, but didn't?

temp outage.

 

are you suggesting that all your automated feedback could have been sent and lost during that temp outage timeframe?

 

was the outage 7 days after delivery?

 

were your items delivered and not updated during that outage?

I don't know how to tell from my profile what date automatic feedbacks are posted to my account so I can't tell how many days there have been between delivery and previous automatic feedbacks. 

 

But these are the dates of the last auto-feedbacks I received.

1. Sold on October 2, USPS in possession October 3, delivered on October 7. 

2. Sold on October 2, USPS in possession October 3, delivered on October 6. 

3. Sold on October 2, USPS in possession October 2, delivered on October 7. 

 

For the items that haven't received buyer feedback, 2 items were delivered on October 16 and several others from October 20 through October 23. (It might be too early for the October 20-23 items to get auto-feedback but the October 16 deliveries should have received it. 

 

It seems like my situation is a one-off. 

 

@buyselljack2016 - only one item was delivered on October 20 and that does show delivery.

Ebay hasn't put dates on feedback for at least a couple years now.  The Auto feedback is no different.

Had little is receiving FB from  buyers  like  62%+ of 1665 items sold mostly used items did thing like 1 day or  sooner shipping, under estimated condition,,concise word descriptions. clean pic and lot of them - most items were  over 1  lb.  so USPS priority, didn't hide scratch dings described items both in words and pictures, treated customers like a King or Queen, never rejected a return request and when in doubt do what is right, etc

One more thing I always left FB for the buyer at the time I bought the shipping label - even if the buyer was late in paying - after all the did pay and didn't have possession of the item yet..  Sellers don't rule - was a career  seller for 41.5  years.

Liked to personalize my FB vs the  same ole song for all.- not a big effort.

Well, on this ID at least, it doesn't show that you have sold anything so of course thee would be no feedback.

 

I have received about 160 auto FB since the fist of September. And I receive a few on a daily basis.

Automatic feedback

It would be a good idea if eBay would add an icon or some visual indicator in the Seller Hub "Orders paid and shipped" view. Ther's one when a buyer leaves feedback. This would make it easy for sellers to monitor their feedback without manually cross-referencing their order history with their feedback profile.

Yes, I realize that. My point in mentioning dates (or lack of knowledge of the dates the feedbacks were posted) is that I couldn't say exactly when the automatic feedbacks stopped posting.

 

FWIW, yesterday (Oct. 25), I received 1 automatic feedback for an item that was delivered on Oct. 16. There are 2 other items that were delivered on the same day that didn't get buyer or automatic feedbacks.

I never watched my feedback that closely before this change.  I'm certainly not going to start now.  I look at my feedback, just to see if someone needs some attention, but beyond that nothing.  IDK on which transactions the auto feedback is on.  I'm glad it is happening, but I don't need to track it down to the listing and buyer.  If the buyer decides they want to leave feedback great.  Beyond that I don't concern myself with it.  Only about 1/3rd of my buyers were leaving feedback anyway.  Now that was far more annoying.
