Automatic feedback thoughts

Just want to gripe a little bit here.

I am a small time seller who sells a handful of items at best monthly. Obviously with some months better than others. I would say that the feedback I receive is less than 50%, and  so, when this automatic feedback was introduced, I thought WOW, nice!

I charge actual shipping. I ALWAYS ship out same day unless item is payed for on a Sat and PO is closed.  I list every single little thing in my descriptions that I notice. Buyers still ding my shipping even though the cost shows up on label. They still ding my shipping time even though they can see the date on their end that item was in fact shipped on time. As far as description goes, some will find fault with anything.

 I wish there was a way to opt out of this because although my feedback score is RISING,  my DSRs are shrinking due to the fact that nothing is being added to them as well.

Although I have 100% positive feedback the low (ering) of the DSRs makes it look like I am not the best of sellers.  ex:  Charge to much for shipping, which I DON'T. Shipped later than expected, which I DON'T.   😞 etc

I DO describe items accurately. If ebay feels the need to pass out feedback they should also dole out DSRs.

I am done now and stepping off my soapbox. Thank you for letting me vent!

DSRs are mostly meaningless. They’re not used to evaluate your account, and many buyers don’t look at them. I wouldn’t worry about it.

As a buyer, as long as I can see how much you are charging for shipping and make up my own mind, why should I even for a second care what some other buyer thinks of your shipping charge for some other transaction that has absolutely nothing to do with me or my potential purchase?

I've been staring at a 4.9 DSR for shipping all year long. I chalk it up to international sales because frankly I don't think that my shipping costs are horrible vs my competitors prices.

Don't sweat the small stuff (and yes I need to take my own advice).

@butterfly*kisses3

Since you aren't posting with the account you are talking about, it is pretty hard to advise you.  It would be helpful if we could see some of your listings.

For me and many others, the feedback we were getting organically from our buyers was closer to 30-40%, so I completely agree with you.  The Auto feedback is fantastic in my book.

The DSRs [detailed seller ratings] are not used to eval sellers on the 20th of each month.  Feedback nor DSRs have been used in this process for several years now.

Publicly shaming customers is simply Bad Business for the entire site.
