When I attempt to first list an item for auction, the automatic relist box "Automatically relist this item up to 8 times if it doesn't sell" no longer appears. It doesn't appear using the Quick Listing Tool, nor when a previously listed item becomes an "Unsold Item".
I have a lot of low price items and the Insertion Fees are prohibitive if I have to pay for relisting. Any advice will be appreciated

From the threads on the ebay community and elsewhere I can see that lots of people have been having problems with this and the problem seems to have morphed over the past few years probably because eBay keeptinkering with the UI.
We must have lost 1000s of hours wondering "Where was it that I saw that option before".
Please eBay (if you are monitoring this thread) if you want to remove a feature or make it conditional then just grey it out and add a link to some sort of explanation. Don't just remove things or move them around because its very annoying and confusing to old gits like me.
Anyway here's how I switched off Automatic Relisting on my existing listings.
This approach seems to work in in the destop (full browser) site either in the new selling overview or the classic view. I don't think it works with the mobile app.
First of all you need to switch your seller options to use the 'Business Tool' rather than the 'Quick Listing Tool'
To do that click the 'Sell' menu option. This is to the left of the 'Help & Contact' option at the top left of most pages.
If you get this page ( https://bulksell.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?SingleList&sellingMode=AddItem ) then you already have it switched on.
But if you get this page ( https://www.ebay.co.uk/sl/sell?sr=wnstart ) then select the 'Business tool' option to turn it on. eBay give a warning at this point which I obviously read with interest .. then continued anyway cos it could hardly make the app any worse than it already is.
In my case I didn't want to create any new listings. I only wanted to turn auto re-list off on existing listings .. so just clicked the eBay logo to go back to My eBay.
Now, when I revise a listing, I get a much more detailed view of the options and the 'Automatically relist this item up to x times if it doesn't sell....." is
at the bottom of the 'Selling details' section.
Hurray!!!

Hi, if using the Quick listing tool, the automatic relists are the default. You don’t have to tick a box. The auction must be for 5 days or more for the default to kick in. And there are some category exclusions, see link below. If you are using the Advanced listing tool, there will be a check box for the 8 relists.
Here is the policy help page for relisting with all the info you need.

Karlzbayid, thanks for your suggestions:

My response is:
Sell” is not an option to the left of “Help & Contact”. This is probably because I am not using the eBay UK website. I am unable to find the “Business Tool” on my EBay website.

fashunu4eeuh, I had found and read what is on the link you posted at least a half-dozen times. But when I use the automatic listing tool, the 7 day auction non-disincluded items do not relist. When I use the Advanced Listing Tool the box to tick for up to 8 relists no longer appears.
It used to appear and I always used it. But it suddenly was no longer available to me.

Hi thank you for the clarification. This is truly frustrating not to be able to discover what is blocking your relists.

I thought everybody here hated the automatic relist feature?

No, I loved it; but only for auctions. Auto relist was without Insertion Fees and I could lower the starting prices until the items sold. But I dislike it for Fixed Price, which was recently instituted..
I am a private seller and I have done the cost comparisons of a Store and found it wouldn't pay. I will just have to be careful to avoid the Fees as much as possible.
I just would like to know why my access was it was discontinued.

I am using the Advance listing tool and I have the option to check for auto relist
a week or so ago it said 9 times and I was going to ask at the chat but before the chat happened they changed it back to 8 times so I never bothered to bring it up
I did a draft just a few minutes ago & mine is there.
I would also have to question if it is a charge or not as in the past it was a free relist only for quick listing tool & mobile app newer sellers only
but this is deceiving if they charge a fee or take away 1 from a sellers remaining listing count.
Here are my 2 screen shots the 8 is available for me today
9 times relist showed last week
It is now switched back on my Advanced/Business tool to 8

No, when the auction auto relist was available to me , it specifically said there was no relisting fee for 8 relists. And no fees weree ever charged. See the reply above \with the tick box that used to be available to me when listing for 7-day auction.

Update:
As this topic author, I have more to add. I made some listings on December 31st and auto relist box did not display. In early January when I began to use my 50 "free-no listing fee" quota, I found it available. So I immediately used it for 49 7-day auctions. When I tried to use the last one, the free relist check box had disappeared again.
I think the 8 or 9 times option might depend on the item category. In my 49 listings, sometimes it was 8 and sometimes it was 9. I could discern no pattern. Frankly, I didn't care, I was just happy to have it back. But I would sure like to know the reasons for the availability and non-availability change.

As of March 15, 2020 the Auto Relist box no longer appears on any of the new listings we are trying to create, as well as the items already up for auction (we are not a store just an individual seller),
In the past it would show how many relists were left on each one.
Ebay claims we should be creating the listing a different way, which we tried, but still no relist box.
We usually have at least 50 items for sale, which would mean after one weeks auction we would use up all of our free listings, then have to pay for each one to be relisted.
I am on my 3rd email to Ebay and still no fix.

I lost it again and some that had relistings still available lost them. I gave up on contacting eBay. But I am curios as to how they said you should relist them.

Well, I'll tell you exactly what happened with your Auto-relists. Mine are gone too. I contacted Ebay a couple months ago about this when mine went away. I was told that since I sold so much stuff that I no longer get the free re-lisitings. They only give them to "newer" Ebay sellers and once you reach a certain point of selling and move up to the ADVENTURER seller position, you get that taken away. Seriously, the better you do, the more you are punished is the way I see it. They just think you are making too much money and they want more from you to list your items. Believe me, it sucks!
