For the 3rd time in 15 yrs. eBay has removed one of my auctions. This time there are 6 other auctions still up for the very same exact product. This was the case a few years ago also. This time a "safety" issue for a coffee pot. Why aren't the other auctions for EXACT same product removed? Is policy enforcement random & I just got the short stick this time? My item was in excellent condition--one of the best of those currently still up.

It might help if you told us what it was

eBay policy enforcement has never been comprehensive, timely, or accurate.
Regarding the other listings - I imagine there might have been another seller whose listing was taken down before yours - and he saw that yours was still up and asked exactly the same question.

There have been some older coffee pots that were recalled for safety issues.

Was it a Corning Ware Coffee Pot? those get taken down all the time and the recall on those is well documented
We had a Keurig taken down and could show it was not the mass recall one, but e-Bay did not budge, so we just moved on. It is in our camper now.

You cannot sell something that has been recalled. Even stores cannot sell something that has been recalled. As far as the others, they just have not been caught yet. It's just like people speeding, some get caught, some don't. Do not try listing the recalled item.

At a guess a vintage Corningware coffeepot. They tend to explode. The company withdrew them circa 1985.

There was an even earlier Corningware model where the handle would come off.

Someone reported it. Most likely another seller or a disgruntled buyer.

Yup, there are a few other options, but none work as good as don't relist.

Another seller probably reported you. So now you go off and report all those other sellers selling the same thing and they then go off and report all the other sellers they find selling the same thing and you're all working for ebay for free!
It's a vicious circle!

Or making the world safer for naive buyers who may not have heard of the dangers of using the recalled pots.

Of course you are correct. I didn't challenge the reason, just the apparent randomness--especially regarding a safety issue.

LOL!

Or you can save the coffee pot for the apocalypse, and when there's a horde of zombies coming after you, pull the handle off it and throw it like a grenade and wait for it to blow up. 😀
In all seriousness though @gerdin47 whatever you do DO NOT relist the item. Hoping you know that already but I felt the need to reiterate. Ebay is pretty strict about that "once you've been warned" thing and can act very swiftly if you disobey...
