I've been trying to buy a couple of items on ebay for a few days using my paypal account and keep getting a "Can't complete transaction" error with no explanation why it can't complete transaction. Called paypal and they told me other people have been calling with the same problem. Tried to contact ebay and had to start "chat" to get "let us call you" option. That's new. 🙄 Stay tuned. lol

FYI, Ebay CSR told me they are aware of the problem and are working on it. 🙄 Looks like I'll be buying what I need on Amazon. 😡

When they tell you it is a "known issue and they are working on it" be prepared for it to take weeks, months or never to be resolved. That is the read off the screen script to get you off the line.

Considering that ebay used to own PayPal, it's beyond absurd that I can't use my PayPal MC on ebay but it works perfectly on Amazon. Top brass at ebay should be embarrassed.

Bought a few things over the last few days with no problems using paypal. Check you paypal as you may have something set up wrong.  Or maybe the seller does not accept paypal ? You do know CS always agrees with the caller, right ?

I bought boxes last night using Paypal with no issues, but could have been a Paypal balance vs card on file.

I just looked at today's transactions (slow....day....) 2 were Paypal, 1 was Apply Pay and 2 say Credit card.  

OP - maybe log in to Paypal and delete that card on file and then re-enter it when you try to pay where it lets you just enter a CC to pay?  Good luck!

I appreciate your attempt to help but like I said on my second post, ebay said they are aware of a problem (a.k.a. glitch) and they're trying to fix it. The real problem is that using paypal should not involve ANY trouble shooting. Btw, I've used paypal with no problems several times in the last months.
