After going through 1100 listings to put things back in the right category and now redoing items specifics and more wrong categories, I'm wondering if there will be an increase in sales as buyers find it easier to find what they are looking for and just jump on the new system.
I'm just kidding, I know better, sales will most likely be worse, we are all doomed, LOL

I buy very little on eBay anymore, but I've always thought their search was far better than Amazon's or Walmart's or Target's, etc.
Until these latest changes.
Now, it's just as bad or worse. A jumbled up mess. Between the high cost of shipping (not sellers' fault) and the really horrid search results, I'll probably not buy much, if anything, in the future.
It's a shame, really.

Train wreck comes to mind these days when I think about such.....

It will probably not increase sales but be proud, you are taking part in the constriction of Ebay's new and improved catalog, they are using free and willing labor (sellers) so it really works for them.

Our buying has pretty much stopped too. We used to love looking for antique and vintage items but now its a complete mess. And if we're looking for new items we have never used ebay.

WELLLLLLLL!!!, then you should go through my 1100 listings, that's what I sell, they will, of course, all be back in the wrong categories with no item specifics, LOL

One $6.95 sale in over six weeks when my normal sales are 12-21 ($100-$330) for the same six week period over the past 20 years is proof to me that the recent changes have killed this account.

I'm kinda surprised that I haven't seen any mention of the similar listings that show in active listings are ALL sponsored listings. All of the 3, 4, 5 scroll blocks ONLY show sponsored listings. So the casual seller who has the same item - even much cheaper - will never have their listings shown in those spots unless they pay more for it to be seen.

Yeah I agree, I did say it a long time ago when they introduced selling limits, they hate the small seller the regular Joe. Just thinking about the items my parents collected in the 1950's 60's 70's all quality stuff, brand names etc. If they wanted to open an ebay account now they'd get a stupid selling limit of $500 lol hence they would never be able to offload their stuff to budding collectors. It would take many years. Many decisions ebay has made are not aimed at that little guy.

Yep. Unless they are from china - then there seems to be no limits imposed.
Also, new users have the limits on bidding on auctions, but if they don't know to bid once and bid their max, they might not be allowed to bid again. This hurts the sellers also. And with the buyers who came here because they found that unique/rare/desired item(probably from a google search), well, if they want to bid more and get blocked by ebay, do you think they will be back?
