Anyone having problems with cancellations today?

I had to do a cancellation for a buyer who had her old address on the transaction.  Normally, cancellations are processed within 5 minutes max.  It's been over 2 hours & still nothing.  


Anyone else?

I've not cancelled anything today, but usually for me it's instantaneous. Hmmm...

Yes - just had this happen as well.  Cancellation requested about 12:30 pm my time and only now...4:30 p.m. did it go through.  It showed as pending cancellation in seller hub AND an order that needed to be shipped simultaneously.  In MP it showed as a completed refund.  It took 4 hours to show up as refunded on the order itself and gone from orders to be shipped on SH.  I've never seen it take more than a couple minutes.

Thanks @katzrul15  , I somehow missed that.  Well, at least that tells me I didn't accidentally screw something up.  I don't do cancellations that often, so I was questioning myself.

Yup, same here.  Still showing in my Orders to Ship, while showing canceled in MP, but I also need to wait for the item to relist, which hasn't happened yet, so she can buy it again with the correct address.  What a mess!  Thanks for letting me know!

Doesn't ebay charge for a cancel sale?

I got charged a penny for a cancel auction with a bid of .10 cents

I assume it is for buy it now stuff also.

Be patient, many buyers don't check their emails every minute, and some don't know the transaction was cancelled until next day.

No there is no cancellation fee on fixed price.  I think they charge on auctions IF there is a bid.  I don't remember for sure, haven't done auctions in over 10 years. 

 

You do get stuck with the .30 tx fee not being refunded, but it's a $60 sale, I'm fine losing 30 cents.

Huh?  I'm the seller.  I'm waiting for the cancelation to go through on MY end, as the seller, so I can tell the buyer to go ahead & re-purchase with the correct address.  I know she's waiting for me b/c we've been in contact.
