People report trouble with searching all the time. There are many different explanations for the problems that are reported here, and when we are given sufficient information to reproduce the problem it can usually be explained.
But without you telling us what word you are typing and what item you are expecting to find, we cannot offer you any real help.
In my experience, the four most common explanations are:
- a known quirk of eBay search (ex. 'category filtering')
- user error (ex. a typo in search term or title)
- lack of understanding (ex. eBay matching on category or item specifics, not just search terms)
- unrealistic expectations (ex. vague search terms that match lots of different items)
