Over the last two days PayPal has put 6 of my sales on hold for 21 days for almost $900. Called two different times and talked to two different supervisors and could not get a straight answer as to why after nine years they have started doing this. They both said it was computer generated and had no control over it. They both said my account was in good standing and one said their would not be anymore. After I talked to him 4 more holds were placed on my account. Does this mean every sale now is going to be subject to a 21 day hold.

Could Paypal tell you why they were on hold? Are they echecks? Are they bad sellers and investigation pending? Did your Paypal state SHIP NOW? Just curious. A few people had noted that their Paypal account noted payment pending instead of ship now - maybe to prevent a fraudulent problem in the future.

It's not really a 21-day hold; that's the maximum. Funds will be released 3 days after tracking shows that theitem has been delivered. The Holds policy can be put into effect for established sellers who are underperforming, or who change categories or start selling higher priced items. Or apparently jsut because eBay feels like it.

I have not changed anything. Same as I have always been doing. Buy it now with immediate payment like always. The Supervisors could not give me a reason. All they could tell me it was all done by computers. They hit me again after the first posting. No flags or anything different on my account. I am not underperforming or changing categories. Prices are in the same general range as always. I am just wondering if it is going to stop. If not I am toast.

Had 18 items on hold . then with those on hold the next few sales went without a hold ...but ...when i tried to spend it they tried to.block me from sending money to a relative. Kept saying it was risky . ill be glad when they switch to.other company . paypal blaming ebay.. I told them this is a cash flow dependent business . amd when the cash flow stops ...so does the business

Anything going on with your credit score? PayPal might initiate a hold based on information completely unrelated to your eBay activities.
I really don't see how a few days hold on your funds makes you "toast".

It could be a random hold, the categories you are selling ,buyer problem, payment method.
do you have many returns?

Returns? Cancellations? SNADs? Late Deliveries?

Because it is more than a few days. 4 of the sales were international and one to Hawaii. Shipping time in excess of 30 days. Nothing wrong with my credit.

Nope. 1 return and it has already been taken care of before the holds started.
