Any plans for 2025?

A local restaurant ---there aren't too many in my area---just announced on Facebook four or five changes coming in 2025. Most were ignored in the comments section except: all day breakfast. Around here, that is a wish come true for a lot of people (and I include myself when saying that) LOL

So, for 2025, do you have any exciting "all day breakfast" type plans for your business?  Or even smaller plans?

(question is for your business, whether on ebay or other venues)

Took a granddaughter to my local country cafe for breakfast at 1pm today.  They serve breakfast all day.

None of us crawled out of bed until after 11am......

Biscuits are always better the earlier you go.

I just took down around 900 German Inflation banknotes and sorted them into weekly auction lots, so there's around 6 months of auctions. The idea is to start the price low (so it's a little profit) and basically make them go away. If they don't sell at my low price, I'm taking them back to the B&M store, but they don't really want them all back and I spent time going through a garbage bag of paper money to put them in sleeves and sort them for sale, so I'd like to see the results from my efforts.

And I'm destashing things, that's a plan for 2025. I already destashed my postcards (the ones that weren't listed) and put them in a box by the front door to go to the B&M store, and they'll list them as lots and they'll go pretty fast I think.

Bed early, back to work on the 1st, start clearing out inventory. Donate a bunch of fishing gear to the Boy scouts and wounded warriors. One piece fishing rods and tackle boxes shipping has gotten outrageous and unsalable.

After 18 years its time to finish out in 2025 and file for disability, I'll make more money and not have to work 70+ hours a week. Plus its not fun anymore

I am going to continue to work with my existing 1300 listings. Number has been decreasing from 1500 in the summer months.

Keeping pricing up to date, improving many listing aspects and moving product out the door.

Will do this until more desirable inventory happens to fall in my lap. In other words, not sourcing/buying anything aside from some steady selling products.

Don't know for sure what I want to do.

I know I want to end my eBay selling. I just don't know exactly how I want to accomplish that end.

Have slowed my roll with sourcing and selling.  Even with limited sourcing it may drag out too long at my current modest monthly goals. I may have to change tactics and just hit it full bore "all day breakfast" style instead of just 7 to 10 AM.

@tsme35

I am overloaded with fishing tackle. I tournament bass fished for ~12 years. 10-20 events a year in East Texas.  3 surgeries on my right hand has regulated me to catfishing...... You can imagine what all I have accumulated over the last 40 years. Fishermen hoard equipment. I might have to start moving some of this stuff on eBay. The rods/reels, I can move locally on the Texas Fishing Forum.

Every setup has a Shimano E7 or Core on it. Got a few of the old greenies as well.

Best of luck moving your tackle. Lots of very familiar to me items you have.

Any plans for 2025?

I have somewhere between 20k and 40k items which are no longer suited for Internet sales by an old fart who is over the hill.

Finding them new homes without a lot of labor is a major project to be dealt with.

My long time plan had involved a local auctioneer, who no longer runs in person. Used to run once a week. Used to have a warehouse and I was able to count on him filling a truck and a van and selling merchandise over several months.

I have about 11,000 listings. Considering the rolling debacle that has been the past 4 years I have sort just been living of the inventory I bought in 2020 without adding anything new. With the reduced sales I have had time to start remodeling my house.

Now that the adults are back in charge, and looking forward to a Ronald Reagan vis-a-vis Jimmy Carter style economic resurrection I suspect I will be back to adding inventory.

Based on the comments I have seen on these boards over the past 4 years I suspect at least some of those who would be considered my competition have thrown in the towel. So I consider it time to step up and increase my footprint. But the remodeling will also continue.

Hope springs eternal and all that.

Any plans for 2025?

I have conflicting goals. I am currently in listing hard mode, digging through boxes and piles at a brisker pace. I am no  longer on Amazon so I am trying to get more ebay sales to offset that.

However, I want to work less. Over the holidays I made time to do crafts and I really enjoyed that.  Also reading more, studying palentology at this time.

Re-commit to exercise most days of the week. The past month has been bad.

I'm taking February off and one goal is to tackle the basement. It's out of control with all the boxes and packing supplies.  I guess I'll be doing a lot of breaking down boxes and cutting up the too-large boxes for scrap cardboard.

Reels are good on eBay, rods are out, and lures are saturated, can't get good prices now. I miss doing auctions but their dead now too, that's why I said it's no fun anymore.

We are slowly working our way to stopping selling on ebay.

I have quit buying inventory, & we are just selling what we still have.

We have been doing this for quite a few years.

& I guess my husband & I are just getting tired of it.

It would be nice to get our guest bedroom back.

It's been the ebay room for a long time.

I've got a rental that's been empty since September. It needs a good cleaning, a new storm door, toilet and some touch up here and there. I just haven't been in the mood to mess with it. So that's what is on the 2025 to do list.
