For some reason the Photos app on my computer no longer works. I can't save images, make screenshots, etc. And when I try to access the images in my computer it causes the browser to crash. Most importanly, I can't make any new listings on eBay right now because I can't add pics. What can I do?

What Photos app are we talking about?
Was this a trial based app and the time has run out? Trial based apps sometimes act wonky when they are setup as the default to open images, and see the date on the computer is past the 30 day / 60 day / 90 day whatever when you try to open an image.
Have you tried a different Image Editing software program?
I highly recommend FastStone Image Viewer ... No Adware, No Spyware and FREE for Home Users
It's a great little viewer with some basic editing tools.

It's the default Photos app for Windows 10. I've had Windows 10 for about a year or two but the Photos app just recently stopped working.

You can use this link to find a free download - Click Here You can also go to microsoft website and redownload the original one as well.
eBay also has editing features right in the listing tool so if you take your pictures from a phone you should be able to do some of this right in the listing tool.
Also I am not sure why accessing your computer pictures would have any effect of your internet browser crashing? Are you storing them in a cloud app?
Good Luck Selling!

It's a common bug on windows 10.
This might work-
Can you find your Libraries folder?
-Open Windows Explorer by press the Windows + E key together.
-On the left sidebar, right-click and select Show libraries.
-You will see a Libraries folder will appear in the sidebar. Select it.
-On the right window pane, you will see different libraries.
-Right-click on Pictures library and select Properties.
-On the bottom right of the properties window, click on Restore Defaults.
-Click on the Apply button and then OK.

Are you talking about the Photo App in Windows 10? Are you getting an error messages when you try and open the viewer? If so, what are they?
Also, I'm confused about your comment saying "when I try to access my photos on my computer it causes my *browser* to crash." Why are you using a browser to access your photos? Are they stored on OneDrive (in the cloud) or is the browser-crashing issue just coincidental?

Maybe I didn't word it right as I'm bit flustered by this whole thing. When I tried to access images it would actually cause personal settings to crash but I fixed that for now by using Windows Photo Viewer instead of Photos. The main problem is when I try to add pics when creating a listing on ebay, upload images to Imgur, save online image, etc, it causes the browser to crash.

I trried restoring defaults on Library folder to no avail.

So where are your photos intially being stored @gardeltango. On your computer? Or, were you storing them on OneDrive which the the cloud-based storage option associated with Win10's Photo app?

I'm storing them on my computer. I never used One Drive. I hope I don't have to do some kind of drastic Uninstall/Reinstall or get a new computer.

Okay, well don't panic yet! 😉 When's the last time you did a back-up? Do you use an online (cloud-based) back-up service or have an off-board back-up unit that you use for back-ups?
Why do u use Imgur? Do you know you can upload the photos on your computer directly to eBay and also do some basic editing on eBay once the photos have been uploaded to your listing?

Like never I'm embarassed to say. Been meaning to do backup but practically anything involving technology scares the bejeezus out of me. I'm the kind of guy that if I fix something I'm going to have one or two extra parts than I started with.
I use Imgur to upload images to some of the online forums that I belong to because Photobucket got greedy and now charges $400 to subscribe. And I've always uploaded pics to eBay from my computer.

LOL... Okay @gardeltango. You really should back-up your computer. Take a look at i-Drive which is a good one and has an introductory year price of only about $15/yr. Might be good to do that sooner or later as if your computer totally crashes on you, at least you will have copies of all your files including your photos.
As long as we're on the subject of "computer maintenance" what are you using for virus/malware protection? Windows Defender (which is what comes with all newer Windows computers)? Or are you using third-party software like Norton? In either case, is your virus protection software turned on?
Do you have any additional malware diagnostic software installed? Something like MalwareBytes where you can run an on-demand scan to see if anything may have slipped through your primary virus protection software?
Finally, do you know if your computer recently received/installed a Windows Update? Microsoft isn't infallible and sometimes an update can cause problems that didn't exist before the update was applied.

By coincidence, yes, it did receive a recent Windows update.
