With all of the other problems going on today, I just realized that an item I had been trying to list and having trouble getting photos to load somehow managed to list itself!
I had the listing saved to my drafts and was going back in to try to load the photographs when I noticed that the item was already listed, as an auction listing, which is not how I had it saved nor how I would ever have listed it, with a minimal title and minimal listing description and listing details that were not all accurate.
This is one of the weirdest things I've ever had happen in terms of listing glitches.
Since it is an auction, I can't even end it. I was able to go in and correct the title, add to the description, fix the detail errors, and adjust to price to reflect something closer to what I would have had it listed for as a Fixed Price listing.
It looks like when I was researching completed listings that it managed to take one of the sold items and it used the description and title from that listing, but not the price or selling format.
Beyond weird.
