Another eBay Software Issue

Greetings,

I have noticed several issues with the eBay software this week and was wondering if anyone else has encountered the same issues.

1. I noticed this week that several items sold, and the listings weren't removed from the store. My last sale was this morning for a pair of vacuum tubes. I couldn't find them on the shelf. I then did a check of "All Orders for 2023" I found this pair was sold back in Jan 2023 and the listing was still up as of this morning. It's now been removed.

2. This got me wondering how many sales I had where the listings were still listed after the item sold. I spent several hours today conducting an inventory audit. Here's what I found:

1. Six items sold this week, and the listings were still listed for sale.

2. I found 10 items that I know where listed, but I could not find them in the eBay store. The items were still in inventory and on my eBay shelf.

3. An inventory audit needs to be performed to be sure that what is on the shelf is listed in the eBay store.

I have 530 listings. Another time-consuming task.  I can't even imagine an audit by those that have thousands of listings.

Why is this important. IMO, if an item sells, that was previously sold, and the listing wasn't removed by the eBay software, then the listing is sold again later on down the road, then cancelled for "Out of stock" this then counts against the seller's performance rating. Seems to me this would be an eBay software problem, not a seller problem, but the seller takes the hit in their performance ratings.

Anyone else with a similar issue?

Always pay close attention to your Seller Hub.  Whatever has sold will be in the Orders box.  If it was paid or unpaid.  There are separate line items for that.  Then there will be no question as to what has sold.

REALLY??? This is a known issue happening to many sellers and you think sellers should pay closer attention?

I have seen sold listings in my store after they were sold. When I clicked through to them, they were not for sale, they were sold.

It appears to be a latency issue, perhaps due to maintenance on some servers.

Your store is not updated in realtime, the listings are.

REALLY????  I didn't say it wasn't an issue.  I offered advice as to how the seller could know what has sold during this time where notifications are not happening correctly.  Before you jump, consider what has actually been posted without trying to read between the lines, which is rarely correct.
