So, who's the knucklehead who decided to remove the seller's name from searches?

After six weeks of surgery, nutrition and physical rehabilitation, the young knucklehead was released back to his eBay, who immediately recognized and greeted him with a chorus of  "Oof Oof Oooof!" vocalizations and head bobbing.

"Knucklehead" was being VERY polite.

HA check THIS out.
If you pay extra, the knuckleheads will show buyers that you have ZERO feedback.

"Fortunately it is just a test."

Yeah, but....how long does it take for anyone with an ounce of competence to figure out that this test is a major fail?

That is something you'd have to ask Ebay.  I have no idea.

@hartungcards

Anybody seeing this test, please use the feedback link on the search page to let the product team know how bad this is. It can appear different ways in the form of a ? icon, a tell us what you think link, a submit feedback link, etc. Look around and you'll find it off to the right usually at the top or bottom of the search results page.

It's a test which means it could become permanent. Don't miss this chance to submit comments direct to the product dev team to try and prevent that from happening.

Tell us about your Search experience

Plese rate your search experience: 1, Very Poor

Tell us how can we improve your search experience (optional)

Looks like search is broken. "Seller" is being displayed instead of the actual name of the seller. Please get this fixed as soon as possible.

This is about as helpful as displaying "brand" instead of the brand or "color" instead of the actual color. Stupid is as stupid does.

I honestly have been doing business as usual ever since this change happened and didn't notice it until this thread called attention to it.

98 percent of you should actually be happy about it, a change like this only hurts the absolute very top of the game megasellers.  The rest of us, no one knows who we are anyway, even if we THINK they do.

I was going to send a surprise gift to a repeat customer of mine today and saw that names and addresses are missing from the prior order pages too. You can only see the last 3 months. Bummer.

This must be that magical magic we keep hearing about.  Gosh. I'm speechless with joy. 🙄

eBay stresses and encourages sellers to build their brands. Then eBay steps on sellers and makes us "generic" in search. Are 98% of my fellow sellers happy eBay steps on what little identity we have and keeps increasing and creating new seller fees for the privilege? Not me 🙄

What the @#*((&%^@#)! Previously, I found old order by name to respond to customer who said they never ordered something from me (much older then 3 months for potential chargeback). Customer responded... "that order was from you? Never mind. No chargeback request."

Keeping history of buyer name and address is very important.

98% of us want to thank eBay for treating us and making us feel like business partners and not just a source of revenue. Unfortunately, I'm part of the other 2%. 🙄
