Another Example of How eBay Hates its Sellers!

So, I sell a vacuum power nozzle, I takes lots of pictures. The nozzle is used works great, I take the time to take it apart, clean it and describe it properly. 

 

I get a buyer that buyers it, I ship it and pack it promptly. 

 

As soon as they get it they open a return saying that the item sent is not the right item. I am baffles because I know its the correct power nozzle, the exactly one pictured that I sent to them. 

 

Their message says that the part did not fit their vacuum, and that they already purchased another one. 

 

That's it, that all they say, they dont upload a picture or say that I did not send a different one than the one I pictured. After being on eBay for 14 years I know clearly whats going on here. I dont except returns, I tried it and it was like opening pandoras box. Had they said the part did not fit and opened the return the correct way I would have had the option to decline the return, but what could be easier than lying and saying that I sent the wrong item in order to get a free label and force the buyer to except the return. 

 

As much as eBay wishes they were amazon, they will never be that, these are two totally different platforms and eBay will never except that. 

 

So I decide to contact the buyer and ask them to provide pictures and ask them why they have falsely chosen the incorrect reason for opening the return? What do I get, a buyer asking me why I am calling them a lier and to not contact them again. After 2 messages in the return section and no reply I decide to contact eBay. I know, I am a gluten for punishment. But I was hoping that maybe by some divine intervention I would get some one in the USA with some common sense that could maybe see my value as seller, compared to this buyer with 10 feedbacks. Of course I get some one in India who just regurgitates policy and tells you how they are going to report the buyer and make notes to protect me but not actually do anything about it. Their hand must be actually tied together because they cant do anything for 3 days and of course you know that in 3 days the buyer will escalate and the AI computers at eBay will make an instant decision for the buyer and force a return and label resulting in a defect. Its the equivalent of the school yard giving you a black eye and also taking your lunch money. 

 

This post is probably not going to go my way, most of you will say, "it's business, adapt or die". LOL, ebay "you have to expect losses". 

 

I just wanted to vent!

well I agree with the need to VENT:

As for item not as described eBay will side with purchaser almost every time.

Sorry this happened to you.

It should be; if it is not financially inadvisable: return for refund.

Hope you get the original item back and not some used one, or some thing else than what you sent.
