It's not a great time to be an eBay seller. Judging from the posts on this forum, I'm not the only one struggling with low morale. I thought it might be fun to share our favorite common/annoying questions we get from buyers. I'll start with two and I'm genuinely excited to read some of yours.
1. "What's the lowest you'll go?" So you're basically saying you want to do business with me, but you want it to be as unprofitable as possible for me as well. Nice. Imagine going to a job interview and the interviewer says "what's the lowest wage you'd accept?" Yeah, I'll pass.
2. "Any rips, holes, stains?" Yes, this item is covered in blemishes, but I purposely hid them in the photos and didn't mention them in the description. With my 60-day free return policy, I figured that would be prudent. You've uncovered my diabolical plot to make my fortune.

This one gave me a wee giggle. His question was affiliated with an auction listing, so I guess whatever English translator he used turned "bid" into "fight", LOL!
Sorry Scrappy Doo, but you've got only 3 feedbacks to mitigate however many unpaid item strikes you have? That'll be a 'no.'

@craft-stash wrote:Had the classic...
Whats the ststus of my order? Today when it clearly says when the order ship by on the page!
You cant ask Amazon that question so why do it here?
I don't offer 1 day shipping so why bother me...is it JUST because they can.
EBay needs to stop this nonsense.

Because it is part of your job as a seller to offer customer service. Why get annoyed, just take care of them, answer their question. If you like, give them a link to the tracking. Some people are of an age they simply don't know, others don't want to mess with it and just wants you to tell them. Whatever the reason is, it is your job to answer them politely and professionally. It will help you grow your business.

I get annoyed with buyers who send a message with their payment telling me to package their item carefully, often with detailed instructions. Since I'll have to provide a refund if it doesn't get to them in one piece, obviously I'll package their item appropriately, and I don't need packaging lessons. Especially ridiculous for a low-cost item.
***
I've also gotten this:
"Would like to buy this if you're willing to go down a little in price"
"Sure, I'll go down a little. I put in a Make Offer button for you."
"Ha ha, the Make Offer button isn't working, send me an offer."
"Text me your price. If it's okay with me, I'll send you the offer"
Crickets
Don't like people who ask me how low I'll go. My question is what price is fair to you? If it's fair to me, too, we've got a deal.

Annoying questions buyers ask.
Being an eBay seller at this time is not ideal. I'm not the only one who is experiencing low morale, based on the posts on this forum. I figured it could be entertaining to share some of the most unpleasant or frequent queries we hear from customers. I'll start with two, and I'm eager to read some of yours as well.
1. "How low are you willing to go?" In essence, you're stating that you want to conduct business with me but that you also want it to be as costly for me as possible. Nice. Imagine being asked, "What is the lowest income you would accept?" during a job interview. Yes, I'll decline.
2. "Are there any tears or stains?" Yeah, there are flaws all over this item, but I purposefully didn't show them in the pictures or mention them in the description. I reasoned it would be prudent given my 60-day no-questions-asked return policy. You've exposed my evil scheme to amass wealth.
