Annoying eBay

I keep getting this annoying request by eBay almost every day when i want to edit one of my listings:  "It looks like you are using a different computer. Chose how you'd like to receive your confirmation code - email or phone."

It happens that I only have and use one computer (what difference does that make?). I don't want to be annoyed by having to enter some code every time I want to edit something, and I certainly don't want someone from eBay calling me at home for no reason. What is going on here, and how can I stop it?

The easiest way to stop is it to do as they ask and put the code in so they know it is you.

That doen't help. They give you a different code every time. If you enter it, you go through but the samer story repeats a day or two later.

Have you changed your internet provider?  When I had to last year, I kept getting the request too so that could be the issue.

Then you need to call Ebay to see what is going on.

Do you use a VPN or any other sort of anonymizer? Those will cause that to happen.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

AVG has been pushing that hard - and most don't realize what it does.

No, I did not change my Internet provider, and I don't think I use a VPN, whatever that is. I do have two eBay accounts, but I had them for ages and the situation did not happen until now.
