An annoying "Saving..." Popup during item listing - how to suppress?

When creating a sell listing there is a popup near the top of my Firefox browser that appears every couple of seconds while I am typing or editing a listing. It notifies me that a save has occurred. I appreciate that my listing is currently being saved in the event of a browser crash or something but it really is a distraction. Popup, disappear, poup, disappear, every several seconds only stopping when I stop working.

I get that too  but I use Chrome. I think it's eBay saving as it goes along for the draft copy.

That comes up, too, when you are typing a post.

Sorry but I don't know of any way to suppress that.

Maybe someone will come along who does.

Make sure you check that Ebay is not saving multiple copies of your drafts. I just relisted an item that got relisted twice and I KNOW I only did it once. I think the autosave glitch to look out for is multiple listings saved or posted on one item.

It's not a pop-up. It's ebay letting you know your listing is being saved as you progress with it. Be happy this is happening. If something goes wrong and you lose the listing page, you'll still find the progress of the listing within 'drafts'. This way you don't need to start all over. It shouldn't impact your ability to create your listing.

Okay well technically not a pop-up, maybe Javascript. I appreciate the functionality. My yahoo mail saves drafts every few seconds too "behind-the-scenes" and it saved me retyping more than once. But that ebay saving notification, the appearance of the message, the image, whatever one calls it, is annoying. It's like an animated gif flashing at the top of my screen every few seconds while I am composing my descriptions. Complete & total distraction to my work.

Someone posted a block of code which I will try to implement later today.
