I purchased an item from a seller (on another account, not this one), who used their Amazon Prime account to ship it with-but thats not my main complaint.
The seller unchecked my "paid", so now it looks like I haven't paid for the item, when it was an immediate payment upon purchase. Plus I received the item today.
The only reason I can figure out, is the seller is avoiding paying the eBay final value fees. How do I report the fee avoidance? I tried through the policy violation link, but it doesn't allow me to put in the item# I want to report....

Final value fees are charged to the seller as soon as the item is sold (not when it is paid for), so the seller can't avoid the final value fees simply by unmarking the item as paid.

To be reimbursed for the FVF, the seller would have to file an Unpaid Item Dispute or a Cancellation. In either case, you would then be notified and can then take action.

Then why mark the item as unpaid? I find it rather annoying to see the "unpaid" item under my purchases.
Why would a seller do this?

They simply may not know any better? How long have they been a seller? If they're new-ish, they may have just messed up.
You should still contact Customer Service over there by phone or Chat. Give them the numbers off the shipping lable and they'll close the account that made the purchase, or at least cancel the subscription program.

Many sellers sell on both Amazon and Ebay but use Amazon fulfillment to store and mail out their items - so are not abusing their Amazon Business Prime - as they pay for this service.
Unfortunately, there are sellers here who do drop ship using their personal Amazon Prime accts. I just had such an incident - called Amazon and reported them. I received a $15 Amazon credit as Amazon is trying to put a stop to this.

The seller might have made an error. There is a back side page that seller keep info and they probably clicked it by accident.
I think you the buyer can also mark is as paid? I have never tried but it is a well known policy that eBay does allow buyers to mark transactions as paid, but I would have no idea how to do it? Is it possible you mark it as unpaid by accident?
Maybe this will help

To mark an item as paid:
- Go to My eBay > Purchase history and find the item you want to mark as paid.
- From the More actions drop-down, select Mark as payment sent. The $ icon changes colour, so you can quickly see that payment is complete for this item.

A buyer can only mark it as 'Payment sent'. The seller them marks it as 'Paid' when they get the check, MO, or wire transfer.

The only way I know of that the purchase show up as unpaid is if the seller refunds you the money.
The seller can't just mark it as unpaid.

Actually yes, the seller can. I assume it's for occasions where they refunded outside of the original transaction or something like that. Why it's occurred in this case, though, I have no idea.

I had a long and heated discussion with griff about this maybe 15 months ago, and he said yes they can because there are instances where they need this ability and it is often used for eBay motors but he would not concede that only those listing should have that option. #1 - never believe Griff.
#2 - that link is for ebay.au - which does NOT have paypal forced on them.
Here in the good old USA, a buyer can only mark as 'Payment sent', and that's how it shows up until a seller marks it as 'Paid'.

Seems I can certainly mark them as unpaid.

Did the seller rebate you some money? Even a small rebate will mark the item as unpaid.

I thought the icons a seller can use to mark paid or unpaid was for their own account and did not show through to the buyer's page.
