I am a 10 month old seller who has been trying to make as much as I can buying and selling and I have now entered into consignment with people in the area within the last month and a half. I also sell on other platforms as well. With eBay, I am wanting to know of things that I can improve on my listings/page to help them get more visibility. I was largely inactive from February till April 1st, so I know I am still recovering from that. I am listing more and more items by the day. I am wanting to move product and create cash flow and I have dropped prices to where my items are one of, if not the lowest, in the market. A few of my numbers are as follows:
Conversion rate - 1.3%
Click Through rate - 1.0%
Average Impressions/Day (last 31 days) - 1,209
Average Page Views/Day (last 31 days) - 28
Inventory Turnover Ratio (April) - 23% currently
I am following the advice of Suzanne A. Wells from youtube for how to be successful, so most of my tricks I learned from her. I am just wanting to know if I have any blind spots that I am have. I also want to know if these statistics are good, bad, or on par with the rest of the field. I don't know what other similar sellers numbers are so I am having a hard time determining if I am doing well or if I can be doing better.
I have also been trying to find some of my items and I have noticed that they slip down in the search results even though I am one of, if not, the cheapest. I created a promotion today where everything is 10% off and I also am paying 3% to have all my items promoted listings. What do you think of this tactic? I look forward to hearing what you all have to say
Have a nice day all

I think that tactic is crazy.

Have you learned all of the ins-and-outs of eBay? Do you know what happens when a SNAD is filed? Are you familiar with the eBay Money Back Guarantee? Do you realize that a buyer can file a SNAD on PayPal for up to 6 months?
You should have signed contracts with your consignment clients outlining in plain terms what will happen in these situations. A smarter way to go for a new seller is to own your inventory outright.

You have some Free Shipping items that might put you in the loss column if they sell. Cheapest items does not mean better placement. Nor does how many listings you have. I never sold for anyone else but it is your reputation and tax responsibility at stake. Good Luck

Why do you think so?

So if cheapest nor number of items translates to better placement, then what does translate to better placement and what are you seeing that I can do better that would lead to better placement

Yes, I realize all of these things since I have had it happen a couple of times before. People recieve payment on that Friday; one week after for their items are delivered, giving the opportunity for a buy to either return or claim a SNAD. That is agreed upon in the contract. I am thinking I know eBay pretty well, but if I do not know some of the finer in-and-out's I would love to hear what advice you have.

I provided my advice for selling on consignment when things like SNADs and returns of different items can occur: either have terms outlined in your contracts addressing these types of situations or purchase the items outright instead of consigning. If you purchase items outright you can self-insure to cover these situations.

First off, stay off the Tube. Anybody can post anything there, whether it makes sense or not. It's a place for 'Hey Bubba!! Watch This!! ... and hold my beer'.

The first three words in your title are the most important for placement. Keeping items fresh if they do not sell , by changing the title up. Do not relist use sell similiar or completely new listing. Run sales. I Do not use promoted listings unless it is a very special listing.

@great_idaho_goods Another poster above makes a good point about titles
Stay away from special characters if possible in the first 3 to 5 words as to not throw off the search engine unless it is a part or model number.
Instead of:
(2) ea Selkirk 206450 6T-LB 8" Stainless Steel Locking Band for 6" Chimney Pipe
Perhaps:
Selkirk 206450 6T-LB 8" Stainless Steel Locking Band (2), for 6" Chimney Pipe
"(2) ea" has no business at the front of the title.
If you think the buyer is going to search by part number, go ahead and put the part number 1st with the hyphen.
Instead of:
2 Dozen Used Golf Ball White and Yellow Lot Very Good Condition Titleist Neutron
Perhaps something like this:
Titleist Neutron Golf Balls, White and Yellow USED Very Good Condition - Lot of 12
As you list, think of the most obvious 1 to 3 words that your perspective buyer will type in search and get those in the front of the title.

Thanks! I will do just that!

So do I

I reckon the golf balls would be a lot of 24 or lot of 12 of each color, anyways, I figure you got that. Good luck.

you're pretty mature for a 10 month old!
