Yesterday I sold a Bose SoundTouch speaker within hours of listing it. The buyer had 0 feedback but the account was a year old.
Today I got a message from another 0 feedback seller for an offer on the same type speaker I sold but for $150 higher.
I was not watching a Bose speaker so I emailed him asking how he was able to send me an offer. He said I don't know I just press a button and it sends offers.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Not sure it matters unless you are considering cancelling the order you already have for a different buyer that is offering you more. And if that is something you are considering, it is a very bad idea for many reasons.
The second buyer is likely someone trying to take advantage of you.
The first buyer, sometimes we get lucky and the right buyer is out there around the time we post are listing, so there is nothing unusual in how fast it sold. Have they paid you yet?

You don't have to watch an item to receive an offer from the seller.
Now, just looking at a listing, you can receive offers.

No. The second guy was a seller and my sale was yesterday so there was no listing from me showing.

Oh. I didn't know that. Thanks
Makes me feel better. I can't afford to be scammed

Harmless. That offer from a second seller has nothing to do with the sale to your buyer. It may be that you viewed the seller's listing in the past, such as when looking for comparable listings, but that was enough for eBay to see you as a prospective buyer from that seller. Thus when the seller asked eBay to send out an offer to any interested users, you were on their list of recipients. (The seller does not know who will be receiving their offer.)
