Hello, guys!

Sold 2 identical perfumes to the same buyer (2 in 1 order).

While packing, no idea how or why, I accidentally damaged the original package of one of the perfumes (a big crack/cut in the cardboard).

Reached out to the buyer yesterday (Sunday am) asking how they would want to proceed (either cancel both, or cancel 1, or issue a small adjustment for a damaged package)- no response as of now, over 24hr now.

I have to ship it out today.

And the buyer seems to be not hesitant with leaving negative feedbacks.

Any thoughts? Ship out and deal with consequences later?

We would of contacted buyer and told them one of the boxes were damaged and we would be shipping that item along with reimbursing in full for that item. A little goodwill can go along ways and you really are only talking about a small amount of money.

I once put a very small scratch in a piece of Swarovski while wrapping it.  They were also buying two pieces.

I let the buyer know what happened.

I sent them them both pieces and fully refunded them for the piece with the scratch.

It's the best I could do. The buyer was very happy.

@oksvanb-0   I agree with @dnasilver to include it in the shipment BUT I would include a copy of the eBay message you sent them letting them know you tried to reach prior to shipment AND that you will be happy to refund that portion of the purchase if they so desire.

Just and FYI on Late shipping defects, the last I knew take either one year or 90 days to roll off your account depending on your sales volume ...
