I am a Srilanken seller. Recently I got an order from a US buyer witch was under local pickup. I made a mistake while listing that I have accepted local pick up under payment option. I wanted to cancel this order and failed that there is no option for cancellation in the dropdown menu. I wrote to the buyer in several occasions and got nothing heard yet. Its been nearly two months and in the awaiting shipping. I would like to get some advice from the experts in this forum. Is there any possibility for me to end up with a massive defect?

If the buyer has not complained, you don't have to do anything.
If the buyer has complained directly to you, by eBay Messages, you can cancel the transaction as Problem With Address.
Local Pickup usually also included payment in cash on pickup. Has the buyer paid?
Can you help us too?
We see many posts from SriLankan sellers, most of whom seem to have been cheated into signing up with eBay.
We understand that the most common payment processor on eBay is Paypal, but that Paypal cannot be used for accepting payments in Sri Lanka by order of your government.
Are you able to use Payoneer, which has been suggested recently?
Thank you for your help in this.

With 2700 listings payment does not seem to be the problem.
They have apparently worked around that issue.
Sale should have been cancelled as problem with buyer address early after the sale. At 2 months, some options may not be available.

In case you haven't heard, eBay is in the process of banning many "adult" products. Don't invest too much in 'gentlemen's requisites".

Has the buyer paid you?
If so, you should have refunded his money two months ago.
Regarding transaction defects - they are all the same size.

The seller has a way of dealing with that-- nudge nudge wink wink.

Maybe the buyer is busy swimming across the Pacific and gets shoddy cell service?
Shoot, unless the buyer died, they've either forgotten about it or think it's being mailed out. As suggested, cancel because of address is probably your best bet. If not available, you might have to deal with support.

Coincidences. Are there different degrees of coincidences like a small coincidence or a big coincidence or are all coincidences the same?

Thank you very much for your descriptive advice,
Still the buyer has not made any complain. Buyer had paid by Paypal. Now we are in to managed payment and using Payoneer.
The issue is inability to cancel the order since there is no option to cancellation for local pickups.
I really appreciate your knowledge sharing gesture. I will share any new information with regard to this matter for your knowledge in future too. All the best.

Noted that you are Based in Sri Lanka.
Noted that you have been a Member since May-07-19 in United States.
Have you got round the system because you are using someone's address in USA for your Banking/ PayPal?

My take is that Information provided in his post is misleading.
He is based in Sri Lanka ( Is a Sri Lankan national) and his business is located in USA and items are located in China.
He has been a member since May 2019 in United States.
My understanding is that this is how he got round the issue of Payments by using an account based in USA.
My apology to all concerned if my understanding is not correct.

Funny, if you were in managed payments, your listings should have the option to use Google pay, and yours don't.
