Hello,
We've noticed that the Ad fees total on the Seller Hub - Marketing - Advertising dashboard is different (by $100s) compared to the Seller Hub - Payments - Transaction reports for August MTD.
We've even compared the full month of July and the numbers are off by $1,000s.
1. Should those totals be the same?
2. When looking at the Transaction reports, should we only be using the
Description = "Add Fee Standard"
records when trying to compare to the Seller Hub - Marketing - Advertising Add fees value?
Thanks!

@finditparts the short answer is, those totals likely should not be the same.
The longer answer starts with the question - how many returns/cancellations do you usually do in a month?
In many scenarios, if you cancel an order before it ships or refund a return, eBay will credit back the Promoted Listing Standard fees.
More info from the help page here but generally speaking the only time you wouldn't get those fees credited is if a case was opened where eBay had to step in and resolve the issue.
The numbers you see in Seller Hub Advertising Dashboard are the total ad fees incurred, but doesn't include any ad fee credits because the purpose of that page is basically just to show how the ad campaigns are performing (whether ads converted into impressions, views, and sales).
The reports under Payments are designed for financial reporting and bookkeeping, so they will reflect both the original ad fee charge and any ad fee credits.
If you add up the credits for ad fee standard in the payment report I'm betting that will make up the difference you're seeing but please let us know if that still doesn't work out quite right.
