HI all, i got the infamous MC011 yesterday. it said that i need to close all open cases and provide proof for all items sold. I deliver digital goods, so i can't provide tracking info. I always deliver within the time frame on the listings, and have a very good feedback profile. A 0 feedback "buyer" (i'm sure it's a seller registering a new account) filed an "unauthorized transaction" on paypal, without even messaging me of course.

I've answered the dispute on the Paypal site and provided an answer saying "I sent the buyer an activation code for the software and he/she never contacted me to report a problem". Now - it's under review.

I understand that digital goods does not cover seller protection.

What do you think I should at this point as far as reinstating the account - I've contacted Ebay and explained my side of the story - so far haven't heard anything. I also see that i cannot just issue a refund on Paypal since it's under review.

can you provide proof the digital codes were activated/used? If that even helps, cause it's not exactly proof that the BUYER activated the code i guess... glad don't do digital download sales...sounds scary lol

Do you have the rights to sell those codes? Most software companies prohibit the sale of those codes unless you're licensed. You need to follow the digital goods policy by first having the rights to sell the item, and second listing in the right category and format.

Guessing you broke all sorts of rules so your account is toast. Using a different account isn't allowed when one of your accounts was suspended.

Yes i'm an authorized seller. I'm sure that what triggered this is the paypal claim.

i guess just do that then. I was just curious cause your selling antivirus download code(?) just thinking of xbox when I get codes you can check to see if the code was activated/used or not.
