Could some of the more experienced sellers on e-bay give me any advice?

We have had our listing removed by e-bay for insulin syringes as it is a restricted item.

When we first listed the product we had no idea it was a resticted item as there  were many sellers selling these products and had been for a long time.

We lasted 2 weeks and then we were removed. After that others have gone as well but some still remain. I presume another seller reported us.

I have found that there seems to be a purge every so often.

Some of the sellers have re-listed abroad but I thought the rules  applied to every country. Some of the countries abroad have sellers who have been selling these products for a while.

Why are are some sellers still selling and have not been removed and why are there so many selling abroad?

We do not want to incurr the wrath of e-bay but it seems that it is one rule for some and one rule for others.

We have been banned for 3 days and do not know the route to take next.

Any advice welcome.

Best advice is NOT to relist...........  if you get caught again.......you could be suspended or bounced off.......

As to the others listing.......a cop will never catch all the speeders, but the tickets still apply to the ones he caught..........

The route to take next is to not list those items again.  You are on the radar, and subsequent violations can result in the loss of your selling privileges permanently.

Stay safe.

Those other sellers did not get caught.  You did.  Just how it works, and just because other sellers list it, it does not mean that they are not in violation.  You can check before listing.  There is a list of restricted items on ebay.  That will help.

hypodermic needles are on the prohibited list, you should look it over whenever you list something.

Don't go by what other sellers list as they may be in violation.

It's like the old saying, If everyone jumps off a bridge, are you going to do that, too?

Syringes are permitted, and have their own category under  Business & Industrial/Healthcare, Lab & Science Life/Medical Supplies & Disposables/Syringes

The policy https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/prohibited-restricted-items/medicine-medical-devices-healthcare-p...

says  "Disposable syringes can be listed, but needles can't be included in the same listing or in a separate listing from the same seller."

Based on the opening post, it's not clear what the OP got in trouble about.  On the other hand, I didn't check the UK site - rules might be different there and the OP is registered in the UK.

hmmm...in that case perhaps the OP described this in the opening post as syringes but they were actually syringes with needles?

Hope the OP comes back to clarify.
