I will be selling a travel trailer for about 15k and was wondering how I can get paid without being ripped off. I don't know what type of payments vendors accept. I know there are a ton of phony cashier's checks out there so I am leary of them. All help and experiences appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

Cash on pickup.
PP for a non-refundable deposit if you wish.

Cash or bank to bank wire transfer. Pay Pal for deposit only.

You know I know that, but I just thought I'd throw that out ..... at least in Motors it may somewhat be enforced(as anything here is enforced against a buyer).

go to Ebay/motors category and ask,you can accept non electronic payments for motor vehicles.but I think if you list it in that category, listing fee is much higher/
some sellers would ask for a paypal deposit but will ask buyer to bring full payment, then refund the PAYPAL deposit so there is no INR dispute.
ways to accept payment can be in a bank parkinglot and go inside the bank to conduct the transaction,if cash, you can turn it into a cashier check or if you have an account with the bank, deposit it,if cashier check, ask bank to verify it for you.
if USPS postal orders, they have machine to check them.
wiretransfer is the best,it is not refundable

some counterfeit checks look very real, there are folks who have the fancy printers at home and will make you one check with valid routing number, account number and fancy logo, bank name.
the one way to find out is to take it to that bank and they will verify, not just verify, they will keep it to pursue the sender.
