Accepting an offer

Hello, new seller on ebay. I received a message from a buyer asking if I would accept an offer on an auction item for which I am not accepting best offer. Am I able to accept or is this against policy?

Thank you!

Accepting an offer

You can accept so long as you dont already have other bids and the item is within (24 hours check time for certainty) of ending.

For best results.....end auction. Make a new buy it now listing with immediate payment required. Make sure your buyer knows their listing is available. Do not try to do it off ebay. Do not ship to an address other than what is being used on ebay and paypal. New users are basically scam fodder here. If this buyer offered you more than expectedbits likely a scam.

Goodluck. Be careful.

Accepting an offer

I would advise against accepting an offer on an item being sold at auction.  It is rarely in your best interest.  If the one making the offer really wants the item, they should bid on it.  After all, you did list it as an auction and not an invitation to haggle, right?!

I would politely decline their offer and advise them to place their bid. Why go through all the hassle? Let your auction run it's course.
