Accepted best offers payments are not processing correctly

Several offers I have accepted over the past few days (noticed this on 9/29/24) are taking extraordinarily long to process compared to the recent past.  In the recent past, accepted offer payments would process within a few minutes, now they are taking 10 minutes to 16+ hours.  I have also had offers I accept on the app disappear into a hole; meaning they offers still show as "received" in my notifications and not showing in the "waiting for payment" on seller hub.  Not every offer does this however. Some come through just fine.  I currently have one I accepted on 10/1/24 at 9:30pm EDT that when accepted stated that ebay would automatically charge the buyer and which the payment has not processed as of 10/2/24 6:30am EDT.  

I know this is an issues as I have seen other people mention it in the forum, but I've not seen this issue being addressed by anyone who understands how offers were working just a few days ago.

Thank you for that information.  Your settings retain the "Buyer Rules" that should result any buyer who sends you an offer that you accept should be billed automatically, so the item is paid for right then.  

This does not happen with offers you send, or counter offers you accept.  That is the scenario that has been confirmed to be changed and has nothing to do with requiring a buyer to put up a payment source in order to make an offer. 

There is some indication that eBay may be tinkering with all this "offer" business again. but nothing validated so far.   Any information or screen shots would be helpful.

These are all offers from they buyer, no counters or offers sent.

I am having this problem this morning 10/5.   I accepted a buyer initiated offer (not counter) and it has had  "payment processing" for almost an hour.  Not sure what is going on.

Thank you for that information.  It sounds like the  offer you accepted  will be auto-billed, but perhaps just delayed.  Do let us know.

As you also require a buyer to put up a payment source in order to make an offer, are yours still simply delayed as you previously stated, or is auto billing of your buyer  not occuring at all?

@ittybitnot  It's been hours now, and still says payment processing.  I reached out to the buyer to see if anything looks strange on their end, but I haven't heard back.    I will update if I ever get an answer.
