I have been selling on eBay for over 20 years. In the last 30 days, my sales are down 48% even though my items listed are up 40%. Started about the time I was forced to start using the new listing format. Any ideas?
I’m in liquidation mode, most of my items are at the lowest prices on the internet, I have free returns and shipping, and I’m paying eBay too much in PL’s and still almost no sales. I’ve never seen anything like it before.
Combination of a couple of things, the destruction of the US economy by our own government and ebay's fall update which seeks to reward bottom feeders. Now you don't have to necessarily be selling the exact same item as them but if the title is close then ebay thinks you should be selling it for whatever the lowest price is. There was another thread about this a week or so ago. Go play around on terapeak and use the research prices thing. You'll soon see what's going on. I see you sell books. Well those titles could be similar to a lot of things and or there might be newer versions for less. This is sinister imo and I don't have a solution other than mislabeling of things to manipulate this new algorithm.
Same, although I don't know if I can blame the new listing tool (which I hate, btw). My sales have been tanking the past few months but last month was the worst. I used to have $3000+ months with multiple sales every day. Sept. 2022 was maybe $500 with no sales for 12 days in a row. All I can think is people are just holding on to their money in these uncertain times. Trying to hang on. Good luck.
