Also what do you mean by "the customer service team" -phone, chat, social media? And what did you do to convince them to remove the feedback?
And I am very curious as to why eBay removed ALL of the positive feedbacks (perhaps eight or nine) that mentioned the smell of cigarette smoke.
@meme6253 did eBay tell you that they were going to do that? I'm asking because it would appear eBay did you a huge favor aside from removing the neutral and am wondering if this move by eBay represents a new trend in favor of taking seriously seller testimony. (Shocking, I know.)

I am so confused now. I have vague memories of eBay removing comments but still leaving the green + score marker (just with no comments beside it), maybe even removing comments for a red - but leaving the mark there (not sure about that -and maybe even the comment-removed positive ones were just for seller-to-buyer false positives, IDK).
But sorting by recent, all the positives I see for the first couple pages DO have comments, but nothing about smells. Incidentally the one extant neg does mention the item being a "smelly product" but that was sometime between 6 and 12 months ago.
So if eBay is willing to manicure seller feedback to the point of partially removing comments ..... of POSITIVE feedback ..... that would be pretty shocking. @fbusoni when you saw those 8 or 9 before, were they recent or did you have to go way back in time? And can you tell if any of the ones you saw still have the 'positive' things said in those comments?
EDIT: Okay I found the other thread. So maybe my quick look at only the most recent couple of pages wasn't sufficient. @lakefor94 when you said "search for" did you mean just scroll and search with your eyes, or use the search feature? -When I tried that I got no results; the search feature only seems to work if the keyword is in the item's title.

I just decided to make it a new one to thank the customer service team, I went to seller help, then went to feedback removal, stated my claim & they took care of it.

From the desktop using "ctrl F" to search
Search “Received by seller” “Most Recent” “200 per Page” Search page for smell, cigarette, odor were the terms I tried. Perhaps the OP can get CS to remove these as well, worth a shot.
exactly what i ordered. Product was in perfect condition, smelled a little bit like cigarettes, but nothing terrible.
Product came very well protected for shipping. However, it reaks terribly of cigarette smoke. Will have to deodorize it and clean it before I can give to my grandson. Hoping the smell comes out of the box as this adds value to the product.
I bought a comic lot and the packaging was great! Definitely made me happy as a collector! The comics arrived in awesome condition and as described, except for the obvious smell of smoke. I wish that was mentioned. Would still buy from this seller again!
Quick service. Everything carefully packaged for shipment. My one complaint is that the items have a very powerful smell of cigarette smoke that has been hard to get rid of. Even the packing materials were infused with it. Otherwise the discs are in like new condition.
Seller thought he knew how to solve the problem unilaterally without discussing it with me. He was sure that what he said would be the right things to do when it clearly I don’t want his old smelly product

Did have Smoke smell. But All is Good
Other than smelling like the toy smoked two packs of cigarettes a day, it is in decent condition.

Ah THANK YOU! @fbusoni see above^, it appears those comments were not removed. What made you think they were?
@lakefor94 can you teach me the 'ctrl F' trick? I have the page opened and filtered by 'left for seller' and showing 200 per page. But when I type control and F (simultaneously right?) ..... nothing happens, I don't get a search box or anything. I have a Macbook so maybe that's it.

Hold down ctrl and hit F to bring up search
Addendum: just saw you are on a mac

Sniffle, yesh. 😩
A fine chunk of metal but occasionally lost in translation.

I am not mac enabled..... But perhaps:
Press Command+F to bring up the in-page search box???

Ah, yes, the references are all still there, my mistake. When I did my subsequent search (above -- I have now corrected that post) I did not select "feedback received as seller" so only 100 or so appeared. Thank you @lakefor94 for finding those entries.
So in fact eBay did NOT do any special favors for the OP, and thus -- in terms of magnanimity -- has no surprises in store for us sellers in 2025 .
What a relief... I can sleep soundly tonight! 😂
BUT... the mystery as to the origins of the smoke odor remains. (Cue in theme music from Twilight Zone.)

@fbusoni I just couldn't accept that eBay would do THAT big a favor for a seller when all they asked for was one removal. In fact I'm pretty sure I recall it being stated here (though I don't recall by whom) that they will not address requests regarding comments with Positives marks, period, well of course unless it's a false positive left by a seller for a buyer.
So, @meme6253 forgive me for dragging your past through the mud .... er, ashtray? .... I honestly was not trying to be a party pooper, but when potentially new developments appear to pop up with eBay's handling of things, I can't let go until I know what's what. And I am still curious to know what you said to get them to remove the neutral. Smells seem subjective enough and neutrals harmless enough that I can't imagine how you compelled them. Especially if it was just the Feedback Removal feature, which doesn't seem to work even when buyers broke policy, used curse words, or whatever.

I'm not the only one though; there are several incurably curious people here (including you), which feels like good company.

Agree fully and thank heavens for good company!
Incurable curiosity definitely feels like a burden in 2025, though, what with history regarded as what happened a few weeks ago... never mind that most folks' short term memory is so frazzled from social media overload that curiosity seems to be a bridge too far. 😁
