5 package limit per purchase. Wish I knew before selling.

So found this out, the eBay tech support  advised 24 hour limit before purchasing labels between 5th & 6th package, does not apply, at least in this case. Cannot ship the last package. I saw elsewhere that PayPal does shipping. I saw  no link. Was given up to 72 hours for eBay resolution. Sure would like to take care of customer before that. I can ship last package at regular FedEx rate but about 100% higher. OK, only $30 or so in this case but spent about $600 in selling fees (they had boosted visibility but boosted X3) with 3 sales to same customer. Very low sales rate for this product otherwise. That kinda hurt as I'm selling with very low margin. Any advice other than to cowboy up and just get'r done?

I found it.  I knew it had been taken over.  IDK if the Shipnow link still works, it may, but if it does, it now goes to ShipStation, not PP.   Which is just another postage vendor, but I'm not familiar with them, so I'd rather stick to one I know.  PP doesn't do it's own labels anymore.

Yes, PayPal now forwards you to Ship Station, but it's still an easy way to purchase labels at online rates when eBay is glitching.

...and when https://www.paypal.com/shipnow is done redirecting you to Shipstation, you need only click on the "Create New Quick Label" link at upper right, which lets you create a label without having to set up a Shipstation account. https://paypal.shipstation.com/sales-orders/new can be your new bookmark. (PayPal login is still required on the way in.)

Are you saying that you printed 4 labels & couldn't print the 5th?

If so, there has been a glitch with labels going on 4 days now.  Some print fine & some don't go through & you just have to keep trying.

There is NO 24 time limit.  You were misinformed, which sadly is super common with eBay CSR

s.  Just try a different browser or a different time.  Some people have had luck by opening it in an Incognito windown & then the label prints.  I sometimes print 10 labels in a row.  There is NO waiting period.

ETA:  IDK if you can still print on PP, I think they changed that, but you can use stamps.com or Pirateship if you can't get it to work on eBay.  If you use an outside service, be sure to go back on eBay & mark it as shipped & put in the tracking number.

I am sorry, I don't quite understand your problem, so please forgive me.

Ebay does not have any limits on how many packages you can ship in or on any given day.  There is NO limit for purchasing labels unless you don't have enough money in your MP account to cover the labels.

"Was given up to 72 hours for eBay resolution", by whom?  Who gave you the warning?  You do state in your listings that you ship within 3 days, so you do need to honor that.

For any single transaction, a seller can only purchase 5 labels through eBay.

OH, thank you.  I did not get that from the post.  It also doesn't appear from what they have sold that anything takes multiple boxes for one listing except maybe the July 20th sale, kind of hard to tell.

If their sold items is accurate, the last item sold was on July 20th, which with their handling time is due at the latest to ship out today.  If they have other items that have not shipped, they are shipping late.  Again if their sold item list is correct.

I corrected quickly but not quick enough:) It was the 6th package where the stop occurred. I used different browsers, tried the recommended 'private' mode,  but did not skew the time. Good point.  Have not done that for years and was usually a BIOS set. 10 labels for one order? They were heavy and for safety reasons (the shipment) a quantity of 3 (one purchase) shipped in 6 boxes. The sixth will  not go. Thank You!

@dcjdinmn1You can ship via USPS on Paypal. You have to input the info then add the tracking on ebay. If they don't allow you to upload the 6th package's tracking #, just message the buyer letting them know that the ebay system will not allow you to print more than 5 labels on ebay, so you are providing the 6th tracking number via messaging. Depending on the item, could you fit it in a USPS flat rate box? That might save you some money and still arrive with the other packages.

Ebay does have a 5 label limit per order, so I don't know why they told you to wait between 5 and 6 to print.

Good Luck!

That was the feedback from 3 sources from eBay. I made two phone calls, and one message assist. Was most impressed by message assist. Phone support was just reading a script so moved on.

How can I believe that when I'm experiencing it? I'm pretty careful how I contact vendors/customers. I get the same message as many report on eBay groups. 5 packages and 24 hour wait. Looks to be standard!? 24 hour wait does not work. My response from eBay has been 7/25/2022  'It's an issue, we know about it' 24 to 72 hours for a response.

Sorry, I misunderstood your opening post.  I thought you meant different labels for different pkgs.  Sounds like there is a 5 limit label PER shipment.

Threw me for a minute too, ebay limits 5 labels per order, never had to print that many before but have had printing problems, then get error out at 5 tries.

Open an account at pirate ship. It’s free. Same postage discount. Remember to add the tracking number to your sale.
