4 Negative Feedbacks left because USPS lost Package

I’m so upset. I added tracking on USPS package and buyer messaged me stating where is my Package. Almost 2 months later. I sell Glitter (a lot everyday) so I had no way of knowing Seller never got Package. After research USPS Scanned Package. Package was in Transit then just stops & doesn’t move anymore. This is Covid19 time and USPS has been losing many packages (I have 3 claims open with USPS for lost packages with Tracking similar to this) I offered Buyer my apologies & offered to Reship Order to them

as a courtesy. I even opened a Claim with USPS lost mail Search. Sent all info to Buyer through eBay messages. After apologizing for USPS fault, me willing to send them Package or Refund. They still left me 4 Negative Feedbacks, since they Purchased 4 Glitters. I had 100% Positive Feedback prior. And eBay said Negative Feedback can’t be removed. I am confused. I’ve been selling On eBay since 2008 and they are not willing to help me. This is sad. Vanitygirlboutique

I had an unjustified negative a few weeks ago. Customer left me a negative because they forgot to update their address. I filed for removal of the negative and it was done I. A few hours. Did you contact customer service or or file for removal?

The leader of the negatives has only a 4 feedback rating. Unfortunately, that sort of explains things for me

Hmmm, I also see one of the negs has disappeared.

Has the OP filed for removal request through ebay?

I would certainly suggest it.

When I appealed all 4 of them 3 got denied and said they don’t Qualify to be removed & 1 got Approved & qualified for Removal. It doesn’t make any sense when all 4 Glitters were in one Order with the same Tracking. In each of my Appeals I had a different comment & explanation on why I wanted to appeal.

i think diff Reps got the Request for Appeal & one was approved. It doesn’t make sense. Why one was approved & other 3

Well, I just got a negative because the buyer decided that the dress she bought from me is “ugly” in person - 3 weeks after receiving it.  I offered for her to return it for a refund, she never responded, so I wrote a follow up to her negative “offered full refund, buyer didn’t respond “.

I believe negative feedback is removed for buyers who leave it on an item for which they file a claim, or request a return.

Maybe this is something you might find worth pursuing, if my info is correct.

@vanitygirlboutique I'm sorry this happened to you and I'm sorry to say that I also disagree with your thinking. Please read my explanation  before you become angry with me as that is not my intention.

The ability to leave FB by the buyers is for them to express how they felt about the transaction. This buyer never received their package so they have the right to leave a negative comment. The comments don't need to be removed because they didn't insult you, didn't threaten you, and were actually very short stating they didn't get their order. They actually aren't bad at all.

It is not your fault that your packages were lost. It is not your fault that the world is suffering through a pandemic which has slowed and hindered the postal service. It is not your fault that these particular packages didn't make it to their destination. However it is in the TOS from eBay that all sellers are responsible for getting their packages to the buyer. So you only need that precious delivered stamp of approval, and until you get that you are on the hook as a seller. It is not a representation of anything personal to you, it is a fact of online selling using this platform. Once you can get past the personal portion and accept this isn't an attack on you, then this will look differently to you.

Sellers don't like negative FB because they fear it will mean lower sales. However to those buyers who care about FB, they will look at the neg comments first to determine if this is a seller they want to deal with. Simply getting a neg is not enough to damage you, it is more about what the neg comment says, and any response from you towards it. To most people reading those neg's they would easily see they are all from the same buyer so really it is only one neg, not three. Plus the buyer has only left those negs as FB so this will end up hurting them later on when they send offers to other sellers. Plus everyone with a brain knows you have no control over your packages once they leave your hands. Anyone who looks at those comments and thinks anything badly about you as a seller is not someone you want to purchase from you anyways. So think of it as a warning to the brain dead to avoid you, clearing the path for good honest buyers for your goods.

There is no rule or law that only nice, kindly, and understanding people are allowed to buy online. People are acting erratically these days, they are all in a rush for things. Use this bad experience as a lesson for you to check the tracking sooner to make sure your buyers have received their orders. Perhaps if you had contacted your buyer first, and not them letting you know they never received their items, then maybe they would have been a little more understanding.

I also strongly suggest you not comment back to those negs as it will only make you look badly. Just leave them be, they really have no substance behind them. Commenting back will only make you sound unfriendly and serve no purpose other than revenge.

I hope my comments haven't added to your stress over this, not my intention at all. I just wanted to possibly be another voice to allow you to look at this from a different perspective. Best of luck to you....

@glorybells This comment means nothing. It's not a reflection on your as a seller. My first thought when reading it is, "Then why did you buy it?". Buyer sounds like a negative person to take the time to say they found the dress ugly, when you didn't make the dress in the first place. No one would pay this any mind. Keep on selling and this will work it's way down to the second page where no one will see it. Please don't think about this anymore as it doesn't deserve any further time in your head. Best of luck to you....

This is another unfair example of the feedback system.

They can give  you negative based on the performance of the postal system.

How crazy is that?
