If what eBay is showing us regarding views is not real, I don't know why they even bother to do so.
Hmmm, @dugoldstuff... I don't think anyone thinks it's a joke. There's at least two dozen other threads in this forum about the view counter not working properly. Even more, if you go back a month or more which is how long this issue has been a problem.
Given how many times it's been mentioned and brought up, my assumption was "Surely dugoldstuff knows that, and is just sharing the crazy stats his view counter is now showing" -- which you have to admit were pretty outrageous they're laughable. Sorry if for some reason you took offense, but the subject has been reported/discussed here so many time already, I think perhaps others like me thought *you* were trying to add a little levity/irony to the subject by sharing.
Since it sounds like you weren't aware there are other threads on the same subject, FYI many sellers have already called eBay so they are well aware of the problem. Some callers were told the problem would be fixed by July 4th. Personally, I don't hold any stock in that statement as the problem has been going on for nearly two months and they still haven't managed to find a remedy. We'll see.
