21 Day Hold

Good afternoon - I have seen a lot on this topic but with mixed answers. I sold an NFT ~12 hours ago. This is a non fungible token that can be transferred (doesn't need shipped). After my auction ended, the buyer paid via PayPal and I saw it come into my account with a hold. An email from eBay saying that funds will be on hold until delivery is confirmed. I transferred the NFT to the buyer, the buyer provided me with the 6 digit token for confirmation. I plugged in the 6 digit confirmation and the buyer confirmed receipt of the NFT.  The sale now shows that it was delivered. However my funds are still on hold? That doesn't align to the email that I received stating that funds will be on hold until delivery is confirmed (since it is already confirmed). I called eBay and the lady said that they have a 21 day policy for new sellers. This isn't really fare considering my asset was already transferred, the buyer already paid, the buyer confirmed receipt of good, and provided positive feedback. So I called eBay back again and got someone else - this person said that he can see that the item was delivered and positive feedback was provided showing that the buyer was pleased and this time the eBay rep told me that he requested funds be released immediately. Wait a few hours and nothing. Now I call PayPal and they said that they haven't received anything from eBay and it will take 21 days to release funds. I feel like I am being ran around. Is there anything else I can do to speed this up? Or anything else that the buyer could do? I am kind of annoyed because I could have sold the asset elsewhere for more $, but sold it at a discount BUY IT NOW to get funds soon, which now doesn't seem to matter. New sellers' payouts are potentially subject to a 21-day hold at eBay/PayPal's sole discretion:

"Delivery confirmation" means confirmation that a physical item was shipped and delivered.

     You need to have a little patience here, you just sold it. Your a fresh new seller that just sold a 2k item, there is a hold on your money just like pburn stated.

Guys and girls - Yes, I understand now there is a hold on my money after the transaction went through. I am at fault for not doing my due diligence up front before using eBay. I'm simply asking if there are ways to expedite it as I've been ran around and gotten different answers from eBay/PP folks today (not asking for confirmation that such a policy exists). Thank you.

IF, and I say IF, your funds are being held because eBay/PayPal determine the transaction to be a risk, I know of no way to expedite the release of the funds.

Thanks for the reply. I would assume not based on my discussion with the second eBay rep who confirmed everything was in line and said he requested funds to be released immediately (wouldn't think he would say that if it was flagged as high risk). Also, since it's an NFT - something that was permanently minted on a block chain and has no way of being damaged, altered, modified, etc. not only by me but also by the developer there is also no risk of the item being provided to be any different than what was described. But I understand what you are saying. I'm hoping that when the eBay rep told me that funds will be released immediately just means within the 24 hour bucket and I see them tomorrow. You still don't have proof of delivery that is acceptable to eBay or PayPal, so it's unlikely that the funds will be released early.

What is the purpose of having the buyer send me the 6 digit code for local pickup then? It's that the proof? Why would a buyer provide the local pickup information if they didn't receive it? Isn't that the purpose of getting that code or scanning their device after the local pickup occurred to provide proof of delivery?

In my opinion (which is all any of us has to go on, since none of us works for eBay), your funds are being held because you're a new seller in a high-return/refund/scam category with a $2,000 listing.

Curious if you're funds got released earlier, and ebay rep actually successfully requested early release of funds within 24-48 hours.

I've been getting a run arounf with ebay about early release of my funds.

Spoke to an agent on 10.20 that verified all information to confirm pick-up of item, said my funds would be available by 10.22 latest and manual release of funds were good and nothing is pending.

Called Friday to check in, the other reps that day, said funds wont be available until 21 days. 

Called the next day, the rep was able to make a request after the rep reviewed my messages, tracking info etc and said it would be released to me within next 2 business days and have seen nothing yet. 

Wondering if  the request went through and they delivered on early release of funds as promised. 

Sitting here waiting but feel im getting run around to get me off the call and push it back and eventually drag it out until the 21 days.
