ive just noticed ive been charged two final value fees on items I'm selling, looking around i found these on here but I'm still a tad confused:
only problem is, I'm selling with free shipping so how can I be charged that 2nd fee? also one fee is saying 10.6667% and the other fee is a fixed amount
Thanks
Mat

You're incorrect.
There is no more fee structure as you describe.

Your % of final value fee's are different from the % of fvf here in the USA, also we pay fvf on sales tax charged to the buyer as well as item price and shipping cost.
Best to ask on your home forum > https://community.ebay.co.uk/

Hi, This is the discussion board for eBay users in the United States. You'll get better responses if you post on the UK board:

The fee system you describe has been replaced in the US.
If you offer Free shipping, then you will have just the one final value fee, on the item sale price.

hi there
just noticed the exact same thing on my listing that just sold too, not sure its on all of mine even though i always sell within the same category
it says at the top of fees
Final Value FeeVariable percentage · Collectables category
and at the bottom it says
Final Value FeePer order fixed amount
both fees are indeed in my total fee amount so its not the same number or anything, two seperate fees both charged.. i mean its pennies so im not too fussed. just so confused by ebay
they want 11 ish percent of an item, plus more fees plus vat plus they want you to promote your listing and give them another 2-12% its insane

To understand these fees, you simply need to read the fee schedule.
In the USA, eBay charges a percentage of the total payment by the buyer, plus a fixed fee of 30 cents (if under$10) or 40 cents (if over $10).
This is spelled out clearly and explicitly here:
https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/selling-fees?id=4822
"Final value fees
We charge one final value fee when your item sells, and you don't have to worry about third-party payment processing fees. This fee is calculated as a percentage of the total amount of the sale, plus a per order fee. For orders $10.00 or less the per order fee is $0.30, for orders over $10.00 the per order fee is $0.40."
