Ebay has issued me a 1099-k form for the 2020 tax season over a year late. I'm not happy with this error on ebay's end. Has anyone else ran into this issue? Obviously I'm talking to my tax representative but I'm going to have to pay more money than what i already did.

The 1099 k fiasco is just beginning eBay and the IRS will have to hire many reps to handle this mess. eBay does not have a clue about this

I've yet to be given a correct reason on why my 1099 was issued a year after it was suppose to.

Do the #'s not match the 2020 $ amounts that you reported?

Same with my friend, got it on the 27th but for 2020, been back and forth with ebay for over a week. Only say its gone to the higher ups and their working on it. Just when you thought they had MP working, ebay screws it up again.

They did the same thing in 2024-and no the numbers do not match, this is why its a huge problem. They did say it was all a mistake, but who knows if that is even true-by law ebay or any busniess cannot issue a 1099 a year late, should be fines, they are due by 1-31 of that tax filing season.

On another thread on this board, an eBay representative stated that these 2022 1099-Ks were generated in error, and have not been submitted to the IRS.
