Its been my understanding that they were only sent out for people who have sold over 200 items and/or made $20,000. Has this since changed? I sold 160 items and only made around $1,300. Not really a big deal, I'm just curious.

The threshold for issuing a 1099 (or a 1099K) may vary depending upon the law in your state.
Massachusetts currently has a $600 threshold, I believe.
The IRS and your state will likely expect you to declare all income sources, regardless of whether a 1099 is required to be issued or not.

This tax season you are correct but 2021 tax will be $600.00 for 1099 Federal law
Does not matter though you still need to report earning as required

Yes, a few years ago Massachusetts became one of 6 states that have already set the threshold for a 1099-K at $600.

Does this 200 include active, sold & unsold? Very confusing.
