Only 1 BIN sale in the last 8 days ... the last time I saw this kind of pattern / trend was when the GTC mandate was instituted ... BIN sales tanked for a while and the only sales were from Auctions. So perhaps the new PLA BETA run up is negatively affecting certain items from coming up in search ... or to be found at all.
Whether this is intentional suppression or just the bottom falling out of the algorithms while they get them tweaked for PLA BETA who knows ...
@earthdreamer Sellers see and notice significant changes when they occur ... this one started late last week when BINs dropped off the face of the earth through the weekend (which is normally a good BIN and Auction selling time) ... so I switched about 100 listings over to Auction format and some already have bids ... yep, one started as a BIN in early January, switched it to Auction and it got a bid within a day.
Hopefully this won't last too long but it's definitely noticeable ... at least in the categories I sell in.
Imagine my surprise when I logged in this morning (Saturday) to NO BIN sales but now more Auctions with bids for the weekend.

I am going to list the LP's / DVD's / VHS tapes on a used book store site and add new items, some of which are 60 + years old.
@mike_jayroe All that work shouldn't be necessary ... if items sold before how you listed them but then sales just stopped the issue is with eBay ...

eBay's tweaking something and it's affecting us all.
@vintage_buy_sell Every time eBay launches some new Fee based feature or major site change sales tank in different areas. The latest Fee based change is the new PLA BETA and how PLS will be handled ... the run up to changes like that AND them "tweaking" algorithms puts a lot of potential sales on hold ... AND Sellers with some experience aren't stupid, they notice changes like this right away.

@sunny_ell I am sure part of the visibility suppression on eBay stems from them wanting as many Sellers to use Promoted listings as they can get ... and to use the "Continuous" setting on the Campaign(s). What that means to Home Office is ongoing higher FVFs on more sales. They make their money from Fees and Paid Advertising ... so most changes are geared for that.
So when sales are suppressed folks might tend to panic and try something new like PLA BETA or PLS, etc. Dropping price isn't the current answer to kick starting sales ... Promoting is, that's the agenda IMO.
For me to go 8 days in a row (including a weekend in there) with only ONE (1) single solitary BIN sale is really, really out of the norm ...
