Hi everyone! I thought I'd try my hand at a multi-variation listing for a lot of gaming miniatures, and I've hit a snag. I'm selling a large number of miniatures for a game (Star Wars X-Wing) that's divided into factions. I want to have a listing where the buyer selects a faction (Empire, Rebellion, etc.), and then selects the ship (e.g. Rebellion - X-Wing). It would be similar to this listing where you select a "New Part Type" and then choose a "Game Item(s)". I thought the best way to do that would be with the factions as an Attribute and the individual ships as an Option. But when I do that, it creates a combination matching each option from one attribute to each option in the other attribute.
For example, say I have three ships for Empire (TIE Fighter, TIE Bomber, TIE Interceptor) and three ships for Rebellion (A-Wing, B-Wing, X-Wing). It'll create nine combinations (TIE Fighter and A-Wing, TIE Fighter and B-Wing, TIE Fighter and X-Wing, etc.).
How do you create a multi-variation listing where you can have combinations that are only a single item? Or is a multi-variation listing the wrong way to go about this? Any help would be appreciated! I suppose the only alternative would be to have a separate listing for each faction, but I was thinking that a single listing with all of the factions would be a better draw since they're all together. Someone might search for an Imperial ship, then see that there are others.
