I just put in a wireless mouse into my laptop, however I can't find the box where you can program the buttons. Does anyone know where I can find this location? I have Windows 10.

The generic mouse controls should be available under Settings: Devices: Mouse, but those just allow you to swap the buttons, I think.
You many need to install a special mouse driver to program your mouse further than that. Try searching using the name of your mouse and model number and the word "driver" to see if you can find one -- installing that may allow you to program the buttons further, and may install an icon in your task bar notification area so you can easily reach it again.

When I installed my wireless mouse, I just installed the USB signal receiver in one of the open ports, put batteries in the mouse and started using it with no issues.

Most mice should work with a generic driver, but if you want to program the buttons to do special tasks, you will likely need a specific driver for that device if the generic driver does not provide the options you want.

I just downloaded the software and was able to put in the programs.
