Overall, I have really enjoyed selling process on eBay over the past 16 months, and whenever I have had an issue, the support staff has been stellar! The only complaint I have about the whole process is that the website design is really, really poor.
The graphic revisions made over the last few months have been OK, but they don't address the core problem of the site having too many pages with redundant information, and haphazard navigation. The site navigation is so bad that I have had to bookmark every page that I need in my browser, or I may never be able to find it again. I find myself constantly jumping from My eBay to My Account to the Seller Dashboard to the Seller Hub to the Selling Overview just to hunt all of the information I want access to. Extremely inefficient and not at all user friendly.
PLEASE simplify and streamline the website design to make it easier to use. How about ONE main page with a tabbed interface to quickly access any information needed with one click? The tabs can be arranged in three sections, General Account Info, Selling, and Buying. Each section would have a number of tabs or buttons to instantly take you where you want to go. That navigation would always be in the same location on every page, so you would never get lost. One click, and you are instantly right where you want to be. One click to look at sales statistics and then one more click to check out your feedback, or wherever you want to go. Easy Peasy.
And while you are at it, add a nice big button at the bottom for "Website Feedback". We all know how important feedback is! This can help make the website better and better!
I would love to work with your webmaster to provide feedback on UX and UI improvement. I will even throw in a ton of free UX design work if you want!
Whatever you do, don't change the customer service phone experience! You have that perfected!!!! 😁
