Selecting listings to edit. click click click... Is there a better way :-(

Hi,

Im aware of control and shift keys and sort by column.  But I still have to click on hundreds of listings to sort before edit.    If I could just put those selected items in a separate place,  then continue sort,  it be wonderful.  Anybody been down the road  and have any suggestions please.

So I have 5000 listing highlighted and sort by column as best as possible. Now I have to deselect 1000. If I could just group those selected again and weed out the others. Or maybe there is an entirly diffent method. I can use search but all my items are different in title weight and size so its not helpful. Thank you for any help.

@rob_brothersinc

Since I don't know exactly what it is that you want to edit, I may be way off base here.

If you were to download the CSV file from the Seller Hub and then sort that list, you could get the items you want. Or, you could download your CSV list of items through File Exchange, perform the sorting and filtering, and then upload the pared-down revision list to File Exchange with changes to the fields you want to edit.

With a little more info, perhaps we can suggest more options.

Selecting listings to edit. click click click... Is there a better way :-(

Thank you and I apologize.

Currently  I am working with files in Turbo Lister 2.    After sorting I have to deselect hundreds of items before doing an edit.     Im using the  activity page.    I have used control , shift keys,  column sort and search tools.   I wish I could separate selected listings from all the other listings on activity page.  I tried to use my inventory folders but  appeared it was going to duplicate items.

The purpose behind multiple edit is fed ex smart post has gone to dimension weights and my flat rate is not longer sustainable.   I need to change shipping services, and enter weights and dimensions.   Since all my 11,000 items are diffent in size and weight this has become quite a proceedure.   I use TL2 because of the sort features.

Thanks for your help Shiptscript

PS.  Your  editing tools for https:  worked great and they were a life saver.

You are in a bad position in this. I have about 1/2 of your number of listings, and I use the TL2 export function to create an excel csv file to edit/sort/verify our listings.

Right now at 5500 listings, I am bumping up against the limit of what TL2 will export into one file. The reason for this limit has to do with available memory for a 32 bit program. It is not an issue unless you are exporting.

FileExchange does not export shipping fields.

The Trading API would allow a programmer to produce a report that you could use. This is beyond most of us.

The various subscription listing programs (SixBit, WonderLister, etc) will produce such a report, but they are pricey for your account level.

My suggestion would be to not worry so much about duplicate listings.

In other words, use the inventory folders, breaking up the listings into small groups, export these into individual files. Now you can combine the files into one Excel file and eliminate duplicates there (excel will do this). Now use Excel's superior sort options to perform the task. Make the needed edits and upload the changes to eBay using FileExchange.

We can help with any help you may need.

P.S. Any spreadsheet will work. I am only familiar with Excel,
